Just what this test match needs, 5 minutes of nothing

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Wet and muddy conditions on the way in to Aami park tonight. Scrums are going to be a debacle on this turf

    SANZAAR Fan Survey

I am wary of any sort of structure that tries to limit Fijians, Samoans and Tongans (or anyone else really) from making as much money as possible playing rugby. Often that will mean going to Europe. For our guys it's a bit of extra coin' but for lots of others it really is life changing for...

Limited revenue increase divided by a much larger player base.

Do you think a) they'd be able to offer a salary that would make a meaningful difference and b)would you be happy for player drain to increase in the other countries (eg Australia) to fund it?

Who's player drain do you mean?

Can our kickers reliably land the ball where it needs to be?

    Refereeing decisions

As boyo correctly pointed out above, the law says contact over the ball, and specifically omits "binding" as how to initiate a ruck, but includes it in joining

    Refereeing decisions

Yep, but it only counts if the ref sees it! Lot easier players bound to each other

    Refereeing decisions

You could also make the argument that TPN didn't make contact over the ball, or he didn't bind to the opposition - just pushed him. So no ruck in those cases. Just goes to show that in rugby at this level, smart thinking, and idiotic thinking is just a matter of milliseconds, millimetres and...

    Refereeing decisions

I agree completely that his actions caused the maul to collapse. Having a read of the laws I think he was almost OK....but the ball was never available so liable 17.2(d) Keeping players on their feet. Players in a maul must endeavour to stay on their feet. The ball carrier in a maul may go...

    Refereeing decisions

Aus v Eng game last night. 55th min. Poms take the ball from a lineout and form a maul, Fardy gets his hands on it and then attempts to take the ball to the ground. He appears to succeeded and then the rest of the maul comes down with him. He then sealed the ball off as per the maul-to-ground...

Other interesting one was game 4 of the NBA finals, 112k on ESPN.

    Yeah he's off to Exeter

    Rio Olympics

I'll have a guess. He brings in money and the FRU have none?
  16. Strewthcobber

    Reds 2017

Im only guessing here but I'd say both his ambition and his price to move to and live in Brisbane is above what we can afford to pay. Head coach of a super Rugby side is a step back for him now
  17. Strewthcobber

    Reds 2017

I'd be relatively happy with a short history as a successful head coach at domestic level - none of the candidates whose names have cropped up even seem to have that. And maybe that's why RG kept getting appointed.....

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

this is only a problem if we score lots of our tries from lineouts

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

So we are really good with it once we get it, and they are really good at stopping us from getting it?
