Hasn't played lock for a while now. But apart from that the decscriprion is fairly accurate.

    Ideas for NRC

Never said to get rid of the Shute Shield. This is about countering a if true deliberate power play. There are ways of course of developing and identifying talent. Again the JGC structure could be useful. The ARU could use it at the senior level. Players could trial in their zones. The zones...

    Ideas for NRC

If this were to occur I would love for the ARU ahead and say 'No problem. But we've decided that the NRC really needs to run for two full rounds. All players with ambition to play Super Rugby will need to participate in the NRC. Additionally, we're doing away with the old outdated districts...

    Ideas for NRC

How could be a tax if they are granted the money by the ARU? Sounds more like welfare to me.

    Ideas for NRC

I don't know. It was in response to TOCC's rumour as in 'the ARU secures the NRC's immediate future and they decide to do try and disrupt it by trying to directly compete.'

    Ideas for NRC

Of course they will. The NRC gets a guaranteed 5 more years and the clubs are looking for ways to disrupt it.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

It looks like Bar TV may be covering at least one NSW game a week this year. Had Met West U17s vs ACT last week.

    Article says January.

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

The article suggests that they want the best possible squads playing. I don't mind the concept.

    Pre-season Trial: Highlanders v Waratahs - Friday 19 February 2016

You really have a way with words.

Sorry, I probably should of been a little more clear. The 5 year plan would be the overall goals, objectives and implementations set out initially. At the end of each year elements are assessed and effectiveness determined. Any changes thaat are needed on that basis are made. The 5 year is more...

Oh, I agree. As I've previously said, it needs to be a coordinated effort. The ARU needs to get into schools and get kids playing while the clubs need to provide information an opportunity for these same kids to play outside as well. Part that I magine would linking up with clubs in each area...

In terms of results we're fairly close but I tend to agree with others on the 5 year plan. It allows for tweaking if necessary. If something isn't working and another thing is it provides the opportunity to change it up in a shorter timeframe.

Fortunately, I don't think it's an impossible task and there won't be any options regarding a quick fix anytime soon either. It's very much a long term project and I'd imagine that we are looking at probably a decade before we begin to see real results. But, again it's not an impossible task...

Start with the PSSA system first and as kids make the jump from Primary to Secondary then after creating the demand then look to really get the CHS/non-GPS/CAS private schools running.

That's great. But unless I misheard it's only a 5 week program. We need school kids engaging in proper organised Rugby. More kids, more Rugby, brighter future.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Bang on. It needs to be a coordinated effort. The ARU gets the kids involved and playing at school and the clubs actively distribute information to said kids and their parents about playing the game outside of school. Another approach is to use the schools as clubs. It's something a group of...

Having just read Randwicks annual report according to the profit/loss statement they received no money from either the ARU or NSWRU for last season. It also noted that their revenue generated from games at Coogee Oval is less than $100,000 and their sponsorship totals to $529,000. Those are two...
