NRC Rnd 5: Queensland Country v Perth Spirit

Certainly looked good with ball in hand and quite solid across the field. Scrummaging looking good as well.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

Not unlucky. The issue is obvious.

NRC Rnd 5: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams

O'Briens calls were very much a flip of a coin. At times I was utterly lost trying to understand many of his rulings. Very erratic. Turned out to be a good game despite his involvement.

NRC Rnd 5: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams

Dear Jim Williams, Three FUCKING GAMES!!! This is third game where Ayoub inability to convert a goddamn try from anywhere but from practically in front has fucked us. Do you see the issue here? Un-fucking believable. Had to get that off my chest.

NRC Rnd 5: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams

Yep. I thought Tuifui had done a great job of come through the maul to shut it down. Scrum to the Rams but what do we know.

NRC Rnd 5: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams

I've seen Masson be penalised on three occasions for what were great pilfers and not be awarded for two others. There's been a few for the Rising as well. Utterly confusing.

Number 6. I think Ma'afu has been really good in contact. The ref is making this hard work to watch at times.

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

Hype tends to have the effect. I agree. Next week should be interesting to see if they can maintain the hype. There not going to see anywhere near the levels out of the US media now the season has started. He was their success story of the preseason. Now the further he goes in his journey the...

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

Their preference for one code over the other has more to do with opportunity than anything else. Rugby has a much narrower scope in that regard. Most of these kids enjoy the contact nature and many do play both. I have known a number who have gone the League route because of more opportunity but...

    Waratahs 2016

But that pace sure is exciting. His solo effort against City was 100% down to his ability to burn three defenders for pace.

    Ideas for NRC 2015

I actually am really looking forward to his face off with Kerevi. I think Horwitz is currently the best 12 in the NRC but I think playing a tough and confrontational 12 like Kerevi will be a good test of where he is.

    Ideas for NRC 2015

Horwitz would be a good choice. He's added a bit of abrasive ness to his game this year. Transformed himself from purely a playmaker to a good hard running 12 that bends the line more often or not. Add in the playmaking and he's a good choice.

    Rugby 7s general chat

Laloifi has the advantage of coming from a Rugby background as opposed to Isles who was as green as they come. He had/has a steep learning curve. Laloifi does not so his size is less of an issue. In fact, Sevens would be his ideal format as I think he may struggle for well, size at higher levels...

    Rugby 7s general chat

Size shouldn't be an issue. Look at Carlin Isles. Laloifi is at the very least as big as he is. Maybe the Reds have plans for him. Another one I think would be worth a look at an early stage in his career is Perese.

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

Yes, AIG sponsor USARugby but they also invested heavily in last years game. That's not the case this time round. As for player numbers. I'll try to run down the bloke I know who's involved in the Texas Rugby Union. Like I said, they have very strong youth numbers.

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

Oh yeah, they've actually got a bit of quality in the team. Sami Manoa, Chris Wyles, Blaine Scully, Cam Dolan and young Titi Lamoseti (I've spelled that wrong). They've also found a 10 that can play a bit. I think we'll get the by 30. They'll be much more competitive than last year. And that's...

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

Couple of things. 1. AIG promoted the daylight a out of last years game. They were the ones who guaranteed the ABs the $1m appearance fee. They wanted to recoup that investment. Our game hasn't received the same level of promotion. 2. Houston has a surprising large Rugby community...
