    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Agreed. Simmons has been our best lock (who would have thought), should be first choice. Fardy should slot straight back in as well as he has been our best forward. Personally I would also like to see Gill start for Hooper for his work at the breakdown, and Hoopers lack of work at the...

    Brumbies 2014

Our whole-back line are wallabies. 9. N White 10. Lilo 11. Tomane 12. To'omua 13. Kiudrani 14. Henry-Spreight (should be a wallaby) 15. Mogg Would love to see this back-line fit and playing most of the season. I don't see McCabe fitting into our current structure. Unless he plays 13, or...

    Brumbies 2014

I wouldn't be against that. I would prefer Lilo starting at 10 on a regular basis.

    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

I guess you could say the same about Kepu or Slipper. The thing that gets me with Alexander is he has a shit load of caps and he has never performed consistently well for the wallabies but continuously gets picked. Sure he has experience. But what else does he bring? I have always thought he...

    Best World Wallaby team

Digby and George Smith would definitely be in there. Can't see anyone else.

    Long Term Combinations

Damn.. would prefer Lealifano at 10.
  7. Viking

    Long Term Combinations

Ideally I would like to see long term: 6. Mowen and Higgers Fighting it out. 7. Pocock 8. A blockbusting, Ball-runner like Palu, Samo. But given they are on the end of their careers it really only leaves Fotu. Not sure he will be able to step-up.
  8. Viking

    Long Term Combinations

I don't think Mowen is guaranteed a spot. Even though he is current captain Horwill or Pocock could take over quite easily and if Simmons is in the second row he could take over the line-out too. But I agree with your list of 8. It comes down to a few variables: If Simmons is running the...

    Long Term Combinations

Agree with this. Higgers Pocock in the backrow too.

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

What is with our players being held up in the tackle? This happens multiple times every game. Also i never thought id say this, but we actually missed Simmons this game. Ben A - cant believe how many caps he has to his name Moore - A good player but a big rusty - probably overworked Slipper...

Australian Rugby Union (ARU) - Positivity Thread

Positives - Pocock, Higgers, Pyle, TPN returning from injury and suddenly our forward pack looks very different. Also Dan Palmer returning from the North an even better scrummager. Our back-line depth is still pretty good.

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

110% disagree. I don't think Hooper dominates any contact! Well maybe to the odd back or he might make the odd lift tackle to a forward but he rarely dominates the collision area. Whereas Pocock is an all round dominate and physical player. A fully fit Pocock is the first player picked for...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

What a great game to watch. We didn't win but i was very please that we looked threatening almost every time we had the ball - I think McKenzies influence is beginning to show (at least in attack). NZ continue to amaze me with there skill and execution across all 15 players. But what...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

I think the depth in the back-line is looking pretty good come RWC 2015. I'd expect AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to still be in the mix. Agree that the front row isn't looking promising. Number 8 could be an issue too.

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

The fact with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is that he is solid. That is all. He will never make a world XV, or even be considered for one. However he would never have a bad game either and will almost always have an average or slightly better then average game. He has been a rock in the wallabies back-line and has...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

3 matches is perfect, I love the NZ v Aus Rivalry and playing the best rugby team in the world more often can only be good for our development and/or our ongoing rugby standards. 4 matches is too much, I would be disappointment if it was dropped to 2.

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

No where near as good as Conrad. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has a very low error rate and defends very well but I have to disagree with his decision making. Too many times I have seen him tuck the ball under his arms and run at the opposition when their are players in space outside him. Also he cant pass left to right...

    Brumbies 2014

Yes I re-call Aurela starting in SA in his first season at the Brums and having a load of impact! I was expecting him to be a regular starter this season but looks like he went backwards.

    G&GR MOTM - ARG v AUS, Oct 5th 2013

    3. Fardy 2. Cooper 1. Genia That was a hard choice with Tomane, Falou in the mix too.
