    November Internationals not involving Australia

Interesting descion for the Barret try as well. Pen try and yellow card on the cards if they couldn't find a grounding

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Don't get the negativity. Godwin stood up, Morahan showed he would be an able replacement for either Izzy or DHP, second choice back row did the trick, our lineout actually disrupted theirs and our new hooker won all of his throws. Maulling was a feature all game andwe saw one of australia's...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Speights been defending in the centres though hasn't he? One of the issues with replacing him with Morahan or Naivalu. They have to defend in the midfield and there's no evidence that they would do any better

  12. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Looked like the ball was knocked back into 12 ahead of the player but the ref thought it was ok. Godwin and Foley exposed in the move
  13. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Genia conducted that goal line raid like a maestro
  14. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Jeeze mate, the last couple have found open ground and put the receivers under plenty of pressure. They've been good.
  15. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Is that 5 penalties already? Letting pressure off some good defense
  16. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Every single scrum. Nice camera work though!
  17. Strewthcobber

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Pretty innocuous Foley cross kick gives possession back to France and two brrakdown penalties later, France up 3-0

World Rugby announce new law trials

We're getting into hypotheticals here but what happens if the ball is still moving outside the try line but the defender picks it up with a foot in touch in goal? Defender took it into touch but who took it into the in-goal?

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Yep. Match fees still have to be paid - say $5k per player per match, plus expenses plus coaches, medics etc etc. It's probably a cost of $200k per match for the ARU, with virtually no revenue to offset it. Imagine what a full tour would cost.

World Rugby announce new law trials

They've changed the touch definition but not the in goal definition (law 22), so presumably the current interpretation still stands? Ie as long as the ball is still moving it will be a 22 (taken into touch but not taken in goal). Needs some clarity anyway
