    Refereeing decisions

I can understand the ref making decisions that way, but it gets really interesting when the TMO does as well. It's one of the reasons I don't think we will ever have a successful challenge system in rugby. Will the challenge review assessor be able to ignore laws like that?

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Even the hugely successful (when compared with last year) 16/17 A-League season is only rating 82k people on SBS - last year only 60k on average tuned in. And that's with significantly better ratings on Fox than Super rugby has been getting It's really not a huge audience Would it really...

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Lets not get too carried away. Man u v Arsenal did 169k in the middle of the night on SBS, and they showed the highlights of that game at half time of Aus v franve instead of any analysis of the rugby. Still, the coverage was good and ratings not too bad

David Lyon I believe. Nice and understated

What about the bit in the law specifically about grounding against the corner post?

    Refereeing decisions

So the law change regarding the corner post came about from the 2008 ELVs In the IRB guidelines for those law changes here (page 15) they make the following comment Interesting that the ref and TMO awarded the try after a review. There's a bit of a disconnet somewhere

    Refereeing decisions

It's pretty poorly worded and ambiguous sauliyvi, and as others have said very probably a try anyway! Another bit of law that needs a rewrite to remove the uncertainty Edit and I wonder how the French translation works - might be the reason some there see it differently

    Refereeing decisions

I read it as - touching the corner post is fine as long as your not in touch somewhere else, but specifically excludes grounding the ball while touching the post.

    Refereeing decisions

The goal post is specifically allowed for in the laws of the game though, the corner post seems to be specifically excluded?

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Think we were pretty happy to be avoiding as many scrums as we could at that point!

    November Internationals not involving Australia

Yeah just looking around at a few forums this angle came up. Think he'll be in a bit of bother (@threeredkings Twitter account if that doesn't work on mobile)

    November Internationals not involving Australia

Match would have been a fair bit different if the ref dis his job and the All Blacks had 13 on the field ;)

A few Frenchman out there (not here!) think they were robbed by the TMO for Kurindrani's try. Here it is https://streamable.com/5tky Here's the law What do you reckon?

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

Without even discussing Morahan's DHPesque defense, if Morahan isn't going to be at the back for kick returns with time and space I it worth it? Don't get me wrong, if Izzy or DHP were out he's straight in, but I don't think you can play them all together with NGs system.

Which 3 are defending in the line?

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Might need an inside back if Cooper's still out and Lance gets the call up

Search YouTube for Australia France and set the filter to today and you should find replays to suit any time budget

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Just had another look at it - it was still a tackle I think, there weren't any Australians on their feet in contact over the ball, so no issues. Previous ones have been pulled up for hands in the ruck IIRC As an aside what was Latu doing sticking out his leg as the Frenchman crashed over. Very...
