Storm in a teacup, or more serious?

I obviously don't know, but I could guess that it was allocated for some purpose for the earn learn legend program, but hadn't been spent yet that year They can't just spend this money however they want. They can't even spend it promoting Rugby etc. It has to be spent improving the employment...

They were doing that already weren't they? He was running the program where the funding was aimed at

How's Jim William's form in all of this Gets a secret loan from federal grant money which he is employed to manage, doesn't pay it back, then gets reemployed to manage the same federal grant money from a different organisation.

Storm in a teacup, or more serious?

What's the criminality on using the federal grant money for a purpose to which it was not intended? (taking your earlier point about which bank acoount/budget it probably came from)

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

It's a shame we'll only be getting 18 months out of them until they are yesterdays men like Douglas and Simmons ;)

Of course. Qualitative v quantitative. But have a read of the comment I was replying to. Number of involvements.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

I don't think it's a problem - but at this point I reckon there is literally nothing Cooper can do to regain a starting spot. The only way it would happen is if Foley was injured or had a catastrophic drop in form

http://www.rugbyworld.com/countries/australia-countries/analysis-slick-australia-attack-makes-wales-look-sluggish-73811 Very comprehensive look at some of Australia's attacking stuctures. Very interesting

Storm in a teacup, or more serious?

I wonder if anyone at the ARU, annoyed at, say, some recent public comments, may have given a little tip to a friendly media source on this one?

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

In attack, sure. But the other 50% (or 30% against Wales!) of the time, is the issue. He's about as good a defender as DHP, which is to say not good enough to play in the line, and one of them would have to do it if they were both on the field.

A well thought out proposal supporting spending money in Western Sydney in the year before a federal election supported by one of Australia's richest men is probably going to get some sympathetic hearings as well

Storm in a teacup, or more serious?

I think the implication there is that NFJ+others and not Williams repaid the loan to the NSWRU. In any case, you're definitely not allowed to loan out Fed grant money, if that's where it came from - it's written into all agreements I've ever seen. edit just saw your post above...

Storm in a teacup, or more serious?

Just mind-blowing that someone in Nick Farr-Jones' position (both at the NSWRU and in corporate life) would think that is an acceptable thing to be doing.

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

In practice - just Foxtel. however... It works on audio, so if anyone with a survey box streamed beIN and played it through the TV it would be picked up. Having said that, everyone with a survey box has Foxtel. So that's pretty theoretical

Yeah I wonder what the situation would be if the Welsh team had been together for 3 months and the Wallabies had had two training sessions together. Still, did the job against what was put in front of them. And made a bit of a statement while doing it.

Step 1 - get a $4m grant from the government to setup and promote club through the region ;) Seriously though, they did a lot of work with local clubs, but then they did have the money to do it. Our challenge is to do the same without the taxpayer funding it
