Was it just me or was the substitutions just bizarre? First was Horne for Lilo. Why put Horne in the centres when he's been playing wing the last 2 seasons and we were lacking in attacking, especially in the playmaking with Foley having a poor game. And then Cooper was on the wing? What the...

No thanks. You keep Beale! We'll take Horne though and you can Alexander. Kuridrani at 12 is interesting. Does he have the distribution skills though? The best 12's in the world do. Nonu and SBW are perfect examples. I'm not a fan of just simply putting in a crash baller at 12 - refer to the...

He is certainly solid. But I actually think he could be a world-class 13. He is one of the best defenders in the game, and if he adds in those powerful runs of his, and I even seen some successful stepping recently, plus he's got to be a decent distributor since he plays a bit of 12. Ticks all...

I recall a few solid games in gold. At least defensively he was always solid at 13. Never shown much on attack but we see a lot of powerful runs from him now. I hope your right about the other guys I was thinking after TK and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), both world-class options, but after them there is daylight.

Horne should be a 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) will be gone after the RWC. Having Kuridrani and Horne fighting it out for the 13 jersey would be ideal.

He deserves an official wallabies cap though. Baa Baa games don't count.

Agreed. But If he's not firing next year I'm going to ride him off.

Luke Jones is probably the only other possibility this year. Or starting a lock at 6 eg Horwill, Carter. McCalman plays pretty tight for an 8 so I think the Higgers/Hooper combo isn't as bad as you might think.

That is a complete unknown and will be his biggest challenge. I hope you are right though because he has already ticked all the other boxes.

I'll swap ya White for Phipps?
  11. Viking

No Nic White, so no box kicks.

I got a feeling the Brumbies backline is going to absolutely carve it up next year. To'omua fighting hard, Lilo peaking in form, Kuridrani continuing to kill it, Speight and Tomane better after international exposure..... not sure their will be any room for the other provinces in the wallabies...

Is the squad announced today? Any updates?

Has Alexanders workload really been that good? I recall some poor performance off the bench this year with very little impact at all. He had a great super rugby season but a poor test one. Apart from his last Test I don't he has shown a good workrate.

I think your right, a fetcher would have done well in that game. Warburton had a few steals too. Wouldn't put him up there with the best fetchers in the world but he did well at the start.

At least Fainga's scrummaging looks to have improved significantly.

Except we don't have anyone equally as competent. Alexander had a good super rugby season, especially scrummaging wise, but he's gone back to his old ways and seems like an utter liability again. Our back-up props are a massive issue. Our first choice players seem to be able to hold a scrum...

Not enough about his cover defence, think it was Phipps who brought down Robinson after his break. Try saving tackle IMO.

He looks more like a back these days. :(

I like your squad. I agree about Hodgson, he has also provided great impact from the bench recently. More-so then the others. Some key turnovers have been crucial.
