Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

No Potgeiter, No TPN, No Palu, No Douglas equals NO CHEIKABALL. We need hard running aggressive players to pull it off. Moore can fill in for TPN, Higgers maybe for Palu. But they are all injured so currently it isn't working. We also have no-one at lock or 6 who can fill that role in the...

    Ireland v Australia

I think you hit the nail on the head. Our wingers simply aren't imposing themselves on the game. When we think of Digby, even his average games he was still hitting it up with inside balls and getting over the gain line a heap of times. He would find a way to get involved. JOC (James O'Connor) at the last RWC...

Does anyone else think that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has looked average at best on the wing this year? He is a world class 13 but behind Kuridrani. I think Cheika needs to make a tough call and put him on the bench and start either Tomane/Horne and Speight who I think have looked much better.

    Ireland v Australia

First off... what a great game of rugby to watch! How much better does our attack look with Cooper on the field! Foley needs to go to the bench next game. To'omua stepped up. I really want to see a Phipps/Cooper/To'omua backline. Phipps done well but needs to cut off those horrible 2-3...

Our line-out hasn't been great either. It seems like some of our players need some time to "grow" into their potential. I think the same can be said about Cheika. Whilst he is our best choice as coach he does seem like he still has a lot to learn about Test rugby.

    Ireland v Australia

yes at first I read it as "Balance doesn't seem better with either Foley/Lilo or Cooper/To'omua." Sorry @Scotty!

    Ireland v Australia

If we can teach Fardy how to scrum he could be shifted to lock. Would certainly solves some issue. Then we could have a backrow of Higgers, Palu, Hooper and that is pretty damn aggressive. Perfect for Chieka-ball. Also if Jones goes well this weekend I don't see why he shouldn't be played at...

Disagree completely. Cooper/To'omua has a lot of balance. You got one elusive runner in Cooper and one hard direct runner in To'omua. Cooper specialising in long balls and all round ball skills. To'omua usually great at short balls. Cooper makes unpredictable decisions at times, To'omua makes calm...

    Ireland v Australia

I just realised how bad the Foley, To'omua combo looks on paper. They really don't seem to compliment each other very well, and certainly doesn't seem to strike fear in opposition defences.

    Ireland v Australia

I guess it doesn't matter much if Speight gets a start anyway. It's not like we have a pack who can create front-foot ball and a flyhalf who can get the ball out wide quickly. I predict another game where our back 3 have very little space which means very little impact. Apologise for the...

    Ireland v Australia

He hardly blew it. From returning from a hamstring injury it was actually a pretty solid performance. Not outstanding, what I would call an average game, but not poor. Plus it's not like our current wingers are setting the world alight at the moment. They have been far from outstanding the...

If Speight doesn't get a cap this tour I will be very pissed off.

    Ireland v Australia

Not 100% Foley's fault, but he is the chief playmaker and is the person most responsible. Why didn't he call a cross field kick, or a chip kick early in the game to keep the defence guessing? Maybe he knows that he is poor at executing a kick so he didnt try it. Either way he kept playing the...

    Or even AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

    Ireland v Australia

Phipps/Cooper is a must. Phipps had one poor game, but prior to that has a season of good Tests. Doesn't desereved to be dropped from one poor game. Foley however, lots of average games IMO. Even his apparent MOTM performance was riddled with amateur errors. I would be starting Cooper with...

    Ireland v Australia

Foley's defence is what really shits me. (refer the that defensive vid against the welsh). How is it that a player who has had 2 seasons under the Tahs is having trouble with the "new defensive system", when players like TK are thriving in defence with only a couple games under the new system.

    Ireland v Australia

I'd like to see changes for this game. Cooper for Foley Speight for a winger Jones for McMahon. Mix up the bench.
  19. Viking

    Ireland v Australia

I would like to see Foley dropped. This poor defence has lead to some tries and his playmaking is quite predictable. His goal kicking has been a real positive though.

    France v Australia

The quick tap was the right choice. Our line-out was poor all game and our scrum was deteriorating. But I do agree Hooper has no gravitas with refs.
