    Shute Shield 2014

That has no basis in reality. Despite the best intentions and good work of recent boards.Momentum is against them. Just doing a good job will not be enough to ensure their long term viability. I believe their colts program is stronger than some of their proposed JV partners, that opinion is not...

That's not a study, that's nothing more than an opinion without foundation.

Waratahs vs Force - Super Rugby R2 Sunday 23 February 2014

I hope your right Lee, but being sceptical,I predict Foley (Michael not Bernard) will continue his philosophy of doing his best to stop the Tahs actually playing any Rugby. He will take great delight in stating in the after match presser, that the Tahs scored less tries against the Force then...

Tom Waterhouse would be an obvious exemption though, surely? His mum is very proud, says he's a chip off the old block.... Whoops, maybe not then....

Waratahs vs Force - Super Rugby R2 Sunday 23 February 2014

I'm glad you like him coaching your side. But give it time. My advice is to not watch too many games on your own,and have a safe word.

Really? I didn't know that job was a clusterfuck. I can't wait to see his tactics, after all no one can get the Tahs beaten like he can.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Of course there are a multitude of things it might be spent on. I was really responding to a view that they had no right recouping some of what they have poured into the joint. They are entitled to take what they want out of the place.Without them, and their cash,Souths would be a memory.

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

The way it works,is the ATO establishes how much tax you owe. You receive a credit for what you pay OS,if there is a tax treaty between the two countries.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

They are limited by the salary cap on what they can spend on players.Their training facilities have been improved year on year for some time. What should they spend it on?

Isn't that how ownership of anything works? Who do you think should receive the $1M?

What are your expectations? He is a well credentialed colt.I wouldn't be rushing him.

    Trial: Reds v Rebels - Friday 14 February 2014

Wasn't RG their coach last year? Was there a discernible difference in their style of play? I think they have been the most affected by the late start of the Spring tourists. This is exactly why teams play trials,no one loses the comp during the trial period.

    The Ideal NSW Schools Comp

I understood the distinguishing factor between ISA div 1 & 2 was the number of teams the Schools fielded.

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

It's not a matter of watering things down. Depowering the hit is a good example.it is a change that has improved the game without watering anything down. Remember the Tahs/Saders game? 2 points in it,6 minutes to go,and they spent it collapsing scrums.

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

In what way? Logistically? They report on participation levels at Schools,so they claim they know who plays where. Or do you think it's unworkable to levy volunteer organisations that do your development work for you? I'm not really disagreeing with you, just trying to demonstrate what a fucked...

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

Just had a look in the ARU annual reports, they are listed as a member union and have consistently received $5-600k pa. Which is more than both the Vic or WA unions. I bet you the village clubs would prefer to receive that, rather than a levy!

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

What is disparaging about listing his many accomplishments that warranted such a payment? As a comparison, look at the AB's Annual report, where they list the KPI's of the organisation and the weighting of each KPI.They also clearly mark the previous years performance in detail.

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

True, but who were the weak kneed patsies that approved firstly his massive pay increase, and secondly his exit payment, and thirdly the performance measurement that could possibly allow such a payment. How many $200 levies to pay $900k in performance bonuses?

What about the sneaky extra nine hungy for doing such a bang up job! Maybe he threatened to stay if they didn't pay up?

Mightn't bother you,but Uncle Bill has stated they invest 6 figures into the Schoolboys program each year.
