Agree that he looks more physical than either of Robbie or Jordan. But on present stature, Bayley Keunzle at 92kg and 186cm is already more likely to make the grade.

I think Wright's move to the wing is probably interim to allow him to get the feel for the game again. I expect he will be well and truly in the mix for the 10 or 12 spot come 2021 or 2022, but on form currently Simone must have a mortgage on 12 while-ever he remains a Brumby.

With the quality available in the back row, that's exactly what I'd be doing if I were selecting the Wallabies. In my view, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is at least as good as any lock after Arnold, Rodda and Coleman and possibly Philip. On current form, he is better than Coleman too.

He certainly looked the goods at 12 for the U20s. I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Robbie Coleman/JJH.

Only if as is almost guaranteed that KB (Kurtley Beale) is in that number.

Well, it looks like lack of heart, and he should realise that.

My real concern is that the Cheika game plan and the Grey defensive system will cruel whomever is selected. Not in my wildest dreams can I see the Wallabies playing the type of game plan(s) in force at the Brumbies and no matter how many Brumbies make the final cut, the results at Wallaby level...

Clearly, there will be quite a few from other teams. But your argument about the form argument doesn't really hold water. People have been calling for changes to the Wallabies from game day 1 this season (and previously as well), but they were being met with claims that it is a long season and...

Yeah, RC, Enever will be much better value than Frost next year and perhaps the one after. If Frost can learn not to be beaten by a small step and to get low enough to actually make a tackle, then his value will rise substantially. I think it will come with more maturity.

Don't think Frost will get much time on the field next year. His defense was very questionable in the U20s games he played.

Is Mike Fraser touring with the Brumbies?

Different styles of players. Samu is more a 7/8, great energy, good around the field in both attack and defense, adequate pilferer, while Valetini is more a 6/8, larger and plays harder both running the ball and hitting in defense, plays tighter. The evidence this year would support the...

So true about the backrow. It looks to be a particularly strong area at the moment. History shows, though, that apart from one M Hooper quite a few backrowers suffer injuties on a regular basis. Even Hooper missed games this (or last) year.

22 Len Ikitau. Not sure about Hansen at 10. I think it was BJ recently who posted 10 would likely be Bayley Keunzel. Simone is developing quite nicely as a playmaker. One of the reasons the Brumbies have been scoring tries through their backline this year. I agree, the Locks look a bit thin...

FP, by your name I would gathjer you know a lot more about forwards play than I do, but why in the world would you swap Ala'alatoa to the LH side and Sio to the TH side when they have been opposite to that in all their games for the past couple to many years? I'd also, in my probable lack of...

On that line of thinking, Kepu for one would still be the starting THP and Ala'alatoa and Tupou would be fighting for the bench spot. That is just an example. Experience/incumbency should only count if there is little between the competing players. At the moment Powell is playing quite...

It really would be a good move to go back to selecting players who have been involved in the current year's Super competition. I say that even as an unabashed Nic White fan.

    QLD Teams 2019

Based on your squads, Reg, the Country side looks to be the stronger. Both will no doubt give a good account of themselves. Ngauamo is currently linked to the Brumbies, is he not? Any chance he will suit up for the Vikings? Really looking forward to seeing McReight play at this level. He...

The effective one Tomikin; ie Lealiifano. Actually, Foley will probably go too, but hopefully as the backup, not the starter.
