Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

We definitely can't play Skelton with Hooper and Pocock either so maybe he can take his spot. ;)

I can't pinpoint anything in Coopers game that was glaringly bad. It was average all round. Maybe one high ball he dropped, and that poor goal kick. Gits I can pinpoint 3 or 4 moments which were very poor. 2 or 3 turnovers and the poor pass after his nice break. And also a poor goal kick, Plus...

I agree with that. They should run it in those moments but I have feeling it's part of the game-plan.

Or maybe it was bringing on Pocock which forced the Boks to put more numbers in the breakdown freeing up space for the backs. Cooper was average. Gits was worse. But the backs weren't an issue at all for me, I think the biggest issue was the lack of go-forward from the forwards. Our backline...

Gee thats tough. I recall one nice touch finder into space and another great clearing kick from our goal line which got us 45 metres. Lots of kicks down the throat but he didn't exactly have a lot of options. I guess my thought process is that I don't think To'omua, Gits did any better and...

If he didn't make that one nice break it would have been a pretty poor performance.

Gee do you guys expect every kick to find space. Cooper made 2 good kicks finding space WHEN THE SPACE WAS THERE! half the bloody time it's covered and there is no option but to kick it down the throat (or run it). It doesn't mean it's a bad kick.

His inside ball that set-up the first try was slick. There was an obvious game-plan to get it out wide early. Don't think Cooper was bad by any means.

Wallabies vs Springboks 3-2-1 (wallabies best) 18/7/15

    3. Hooper 2. Pocock 1. Phipps Honorable mention to Folau for catching everything and To'omua too.

you know I'd actually think about starting Sio over Slipper too.

    Actually, good point.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

We should stick with Cooper. His passing was still slick and kicking was solid. I think its time for Aus to start it's best halves combo in: 9.Phipps 10. Cooper 12. To'omua

I agree. We needed strength into contact and strong ball runners. A fit TPN would have given extra impact. Plus I think Poey made the call to go for touch anyways. Plenty of leaders still on the field.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Cooper was fine given the go-forward. Passing was slick. Gits was okay too but not outstanding. To'omua was the clear best out of the three. I agree Phipps looked much better then Genia. Lots of criticism towards Higgers but I think the biggest disappointment for me was Skelton. Isn't he...

Skeltons so called strengths did not cancel out his weaknesses. Horwills carries were just as good and we don't lose anything in the line-out.

Key players in that win were Hooper, Phipps, Folau, Pocock, To'omua and Kuridrani.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

You mean the Tests where Allende wasn't part of the Boks backline? And Cooper wasn't running the backline for most of those? Boks have been great defensively in the past but is Allende up to it? He's facing a pretty much all-out attacking wallaby backline. I wouldn't have made that comment...

Higgers can kick for touch too! :)
