Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Is the Bok 10-12-13 great defenders though? De Allende seems to have a reputation of being easily exposed. Gits and Cooper should be able to do this. On the other side, Whilst Gits and Cooper are solid defenders they are far from dominating so the Boks could certainly make damage too. I'm...

The wallabies look strong too, plus are playing at home and had overall more successful super xv campaigns. Close favourite IMO. I have to say without Vermulan the backrow isn't as intimidating. Solid, but so is ours.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

I'm happy with the team. Of coarse I would like to see Pocock over Hooper but I'm sure Pocock will get his chance to prove his worth and Hooper is the next best thing. (I'm sure Cheika is saving Poey for the AB's anyway ;)) Interested to see how Higgers and Hooper combine. Hopefully they adapt...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

This. He carved up a strong defensive backline in Lilo, To'omua, Kuridrani. Which is probably better defensively then anything in the current wallabies squad since Lilo is better defensively then Foley and Cooper. The number of line-breaks he got in that game was ridiculous.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Actually the Brumbies scrum had a pretty inconsistent season. Most put it down to Sio out injured however I have a feeling it was a little more then that. I think it was the Sharks and Lions game where we were totally blown off the park. I was pretty disappointed given last year we were very...

I recall his form prior to the ankle injury being absolutely world-class. Would have easily been ahead of JOC (James O'Connor) and Digby for a wing spot. He struggled to get back to that form post recovery - which is fair enough given the extent of the injury.

Definitely down to the individual player. Most players need time to mature, some mature very quickly, other take a long time. And rare players are already there. It's not always the amount of caps but the quality of those caps.

It's not shared equally at all if everyone else in the back-line is tackling 70-80% and Beale is only tackling at 60%.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

I agree they need to be rested. But I don't think the first game back is the time to do it. I think you should start with what you think your strongest squad is because if it works then your team and structures will be settled from game one. The rest of the tournament you can then build...

Except even an in-form Beale is a huge liability in defence.

Slippers last game for the Reds was ages ago though. I think he should start and play 60mins against SA. He can rest against the Pumas while Sio is Tested.

Agreed. Crazy how coach after coach accept's Beale's weaknesses. He must set the world a light at training or something.

Yep, or they should have chosen Lilo > Naya.

Hopefully Beale is axed when it gets cut down, but unfortunately I highly doubt it. I'm guessing Naiyara, Mumm, Kerevi, T Smith, Faulkner and Arnold will be the first to go.

I LIKE IT! Not quite as good as 10. Cooper, 12. To'omua But I agree it's more balanced then 10. Foley 12. To'omua. At least in theory.
