If Houston is playing 8 then they need a jumping option at 6. If they move Higgers to 8 they could carry Beau at 6 but I doubt they would do it as they have so many 6 options it would seem like a waste. In saying that Link might think it could be a good option depending on the opposition.

I think the investment in Vickerman is better use of funds that the money spent on Waugh. At least he is a chance of going to the World Cup. I also think he adds something that no other lock in Australia has. He plays with a great level of controlled aggression. Horwill is getting better at this...

After watching the footage he seems like the perfect fit into the Reds structure. Happy to run with the ball in hand and link up with the backs and his defence is great for someone of his size. If he plays as well as I think he can then he will have a wonderful season in 2011.

I believe that Beau will play most of the year at 7 for the Reds with Gill or Tomiki off the bench. I thought he was outstanding at the Tahs and never understood why they let him go.

I think the concept of The Rebel Army is great. Who cares if they rip off Barmy Army songs, they have all been stolen from Football clubs anyway. I also think that the idea of chanting and singing is stronger in Victoria with the AFL than in other states so embracing it with the Rebels is fantastic.
