I doubt that a coach of Tom Barker's standing would be involved in such politics. I had a chat with some of the people involved in BBC rugby and they are trying to change the culture of the program there so I am sure they would allow Barker to pick the players he wants.

I find it incredible that Premier clubs are happy to hand over the running of their top teams to former players who have never coached before. Coaching is very different to playing and even though these guys have been exposed to top line coaches doesn't mean that they themselves can coach...

When Taylor was at TSS they had some of the best lineouts I have seen at any level. He has a very good rugby brain on him and looking forward to what they come up with.

Samoa have been great. I thought they were a chance against Ireland and they gave it to England. I haven't seen any of the Fiji games but the scores have been good. I would love them to do well in NZ next year.
