Gnostic's Wk15 team of the week

    Why?

Gnostic's Wk15 team of the week

I know you have man love issues with Kepu Gnostic but he really wasn't on the park long enough this week. Fairbrother was probably the best THP this weekend. Baxter is also worthy.

Should the IRB help Fiji pay for its RWC Campaign?

Don't give them the money as it sets a bad precident. Fuck I hate it when sport and politics get tangled like this.

Pressure on the Waratahs to make the Finals

I hope you are wright disco. I have an uneasy feeling about the Reds run home. It looks easy on paper but in context all three games are banana sking games. 1/ Our record over the Brumbies is still shit. 2/ The NZ travel is still a bit of a bogey and the Chiefs can be a surprise package on...

Bismark Du Plesis bags Oz Conference

One other point worth mentioning is that this is only the first year and it is hardly a large enough data set to base assumptions and conclusions on. I would be concearned if regular trends occured after a few years but we are not at that stage yet.

Bismark Du Plesis bags Oz Conference

I would be just happy to see the end of all the pissing and moaning.

Bismark Du Plesis bags Oz Conference

Ditch the conference system and let's just play eachother twice. Then nobody has anything to whinge about. It wan't stop people finding something to whinge though. This whole Australia, NZ, and SA thing is bullshit but the current system promotes it. The competition is 15 franchises playing...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Even better played by MR. Cheers for the gesture of good sportsmanship.

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

The bloody Reds had me pulling my hair at times. Great too scrape the win though and great to know we can win intense games like that when misfiring. Like other Reds supporters I don't think my pooper valve will open till we know the prognosis on Beau.

J'OC won't be playing 12 for the Wallabies

Maybe the mind games have started. O'Connor is no different in size to either Gits or Barnes so I don't but into the size bullshit. WJ makes a good point in his argument about Coopers Width. Gits couldn't handle playing second fiddle in attack last year and Barnes came in as a foil for...

    Fainga'a Bias?

The Fainga'a bloodline seems too be one of good attitude. Congratulations to the the young bloke on a privillage he has earnt.

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

Are we not trying to create depth in this country? The Super Rugby under 20 players already have one foot in door of proffessional development. Bring on another batch of young talent through the Australian U/20's and expose them to the proffessional system. The game will be better served with...

The Code: Life with the Waratahs

I think they released it too late. With the benefit of hindisight I thought they looked silly and very out of touch. The current turbulance in the organisatation does not reflect what they showed last night. Time will tell if they cover the tough issues as the episodes progress.

    Elsom: In or Out?

What's it called BR? I wouldn't mind a read of that one.

    Repeated Trauma Encephalopathy

I think the Reds already have in regards to overall player welfare management. The way in which they are being very methodical in unleashing Liam Gill onto the Super Rugby stage is a good example that they won't compromise on player safety.

Big rwc news - nine is going to put effort in

With the exception of the Melbourne Cup, there is not another sporting event in this country that draws interest from those who don't normally follow the sport quite like SOO does. One day I hope the Bledisloe can have that power as it is the jewel in our crown annualy.

    Wallaby Outside Centre

If we are talking about form wingers, Cummins has too have the wood on Morahan. Both have been playing well but Cummins has been exceptionl for the Force this year. He is up there with Wykes in the big improvers stakes.

    SA Conferense and Derbies

I don't know what to make out of those stats Paarl. Getting the win over the Blues is one thing but comming from behind like that adds a ne dimension to the Stormers game which must be encouraging for their supporters.

    Elsom: In or Out?

I agree. Sharpe is inspirational in his own game but his record does not reflect that of a good captain. His sides have a terrible habit of not getting up in close matches and falling over at the last hurdle. I am a big fan of Sharpe the player but not so Sharpe the captain.

"Saving the Union": Reds' CEO's Views

I am no accounting guru but what I appreciate about his contribution is the vibe within the organisation. It is all positive and on the up. This is tranfering into the community and is helping grow the game. This bloke would be a breath of fresh air at ARU HQ.
