    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

With a bit of luck JOC (James O'Connor) goes to bench as a utility.

How would you like to see NRC/ARC type comp?

I'm not going to harp on about it, but I want neither an NRC or ARC. I want a second tier pro National domestic competition. I'll take an interstate club comp, champions style below that. But perhaps a small number of the top Clubs enter the pro National comp anyway. International rugby as our...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Seriously, you think that strength of the claimed "top 10" (so much wrong in that thinking) will remain as everything wanes? As it will. The push to domestic agenda will increase. Very little risk in that statement.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Anything that trends the W/L ratio between Australian and NZ teams at less than 50%. And we all know it will be well less. You say : I don't agree, but just wait.

    TRC2021 - All Blacks v Springboks @ Townsville 25/09

ABs will likely follow the programme of starting conservative and taking points by 3. Until they are comfortable and lash out. Final score simply depends on how quickly ABs gain that comfort. previously I had thought the the Boks could hold them in the wrestle across the 80 for a tight game. I...

    Rugby Championship 2021

What is messed up is the impact of COVID on the international tests. I think you are right, home games are retained and get nominated per the schedule. Also probably Suncorp Stadium is for WB home game, otherwise when we are "away" it is secondary stadia such as FNQ and the Gold Coast.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Seeing it again at normal speed the bloke has certainly placed himself at risk of a problem but no eye intent. Looks to me that he definitely went to "ruffle up" Quade with unnecessary (but not uncommon) off the ball push to the head. But he lost a bit of footing and push got clumsy. He didn't...

I had full intentions of backing anyone playing the ABs. That position is getting harder.

I can only agree. Eye gouge or not, it is an off the ball incident involving striking the head, face actually - a gouge was always a risk

I'd say the same if he wanted to front up in 2021.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Like Tragic I'm unconvinced. Swinton brings mongrel. Subject to improvement in tackling, I like it. But I'm not convinced there is a marked improvement in the line out. Or any. Samu is bringing wonderful impact of the bench, crazy meters in little time. Swinton has that aggression. There is...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Sure. As we improve we will want to see better from it, I think. So handing over possession is one thing, but you are looking for a trade off. Which is either a quick return of possession, or territory. Losing out in both is not ideal and I would hope our kicking game should be targeting...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

On Cooper, the game plan, and holding it together against the Boks - one last time: With Cooper mostly or often swallowed in traffic, a clear relationship developed through the loose forwards - especially Hooper driving in to be on the spot to assist. Additionally partly via White and partly...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

You see it in the passing and run stats too. Cooper in traffic was forced to run more and pass less. His D was hardly decisive, but in traffic means the pack was there shortly. It works. As a game plan goes, losing possession is one thing, but ideally you'd see that go with at least a balance...

    Wallabies 2021

Fo me we give Hodge more time at 15. Others have been given a chance, so it should be here. His defence was up a notch and the high balls missed were well placed boxed by Fluff in traffic where not being on the field seems to be the better option. Needs improvement, so give it a chance. I see...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Some interesting stats care of espn (Wallabies) Tackles: Cooper (not a typo) 17; Hooper 13; Philip 13 Number of passes (White 26 being left aside): Hooper 7; Cooper 7; Koroibete 6 Meters run: Koroibete 55; Samu (from the bench) 45; Kerevi 35. Defender beaten: Tupou 4; Kellaway 4; Kerevi 3...
