    The Wallabies Thread

I think he debuted against the All Blacks, heavily criticised before the match even started that he wasn't up to it. Mainly on an impact level. I think he silenced a lot of doubters with a solid enough performance. Far from poor but far from MOTM status. I think it got worse after that. And...

    Brumbies 2016

First I heard of it. I think this is good for the Brumbies if true. Fainga a great super xv player and has more years in him then Moore.

    The Wallabies Thread

He won't be anywhere near the playing squad that's a given. That's why I said dark horse for the extended squad. Poey and Hooper are the incumbent 7/8 and that is not going to change anytime soon, in my view. Next in line would surely be McMahon and McCalman - but then we have Holloway...

    The Wallabies Thread

So there's no truth that he's been carving it up overseas?

Houston a dark horse for the extended squad if he signs with the Reds? Given Vaea is out.

    The Wallabies Thread

Yeah but any back-line with Larkham at 10 was a good one ;)

Whilst I would have loved to see Fardy at lock too, I agree with this post. That ship has sailed, he is a 6 now and also the incumbent and first choice wallabies 6 until some-one comes along plays out of their skin to supersede him and I can't see that happening this year.

    The Wallabies Thread

Am I the only one who is not sold on McMahon as a test player YET? He absolutely carves up super XV and low-level test teams but has been fairly average against top opposition - if I remember correctly. I think Gill deserves a shot before him. At least if we are talking pecking orders behind...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Not sure how anyone can doubt either Hooper or Poey after last years efforts. They were BOTH nominated for player of the year. Poey probabaly almost winning if it wasn't for a superb DC grand final effort. If both are avaliable they will both be picked again and most likely first picked on...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

That is harsh on Hooper. Can I remind you how effective he was in the tackle. Remember the SA game last year of him driving back Burger on the goal line!!!! Their is always room for Hooper.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Sorry mate, that shouldn't have been a direct reply to your post. Mainly a comment on the sentiment from many other posters who are cancelling Vaea out because he doesn't jump.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Locks: Simmons, another lock who isn't Skelton 6. Fardy. problem solved. Not really as big of a selection headache as made out by many posters. IMO, It's basically Skelton Verse Vaea, can't have both.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Sick of these work-rate and line-out focused 8's. Time for a blockbusting linking 8 to have a go.

    Brumbies 2016

I don't think Poey will go to another Australian franchise. He'll go overseas or stay at the Brumbies. Of coarse I have nothing to back this, just a hunch.

    Brumbies 2016

It will probably be like the last time they changed the rules. Everyone said how ineffective Poey will be since the interpretations of "release the tackled player" was changed. Oh how pilfering was now a diminished skill..... Then he returned from injury, adjusted his game, and was the best...

    Brumbies 2016

Well said @lex. I have the same feelings. At first disappointed. But I'm now content with the decision and no respect at all lost for Moore. He has served the Brumbies well for years.

    Brumbies 2016

The Reds will benefit from his presence more then the Brumbies. The Brumbies will be fine without him. So really it's a positive for the struggling Reds who need all the leadership and experience they can get, and the solid Brumbies squad will continue to be solid without him. Now I hope...

So that's how Sir Richie got away with it for all those years!

    Brumbies 2016

Well in terms of colour scheme's... I prefer a team to be dominate in one primary colour. It's awesome looking at a stadium full of sky-blue or red (NSW & QLD). If there's 3 colours it gets lost in the crowd. But I guess in the Brumbies case it doesn't matter too much given our crowds are...
