Come on cyclopath, Digby might be a winger but he runs harder then most forwards! He was our main man to get over the gain line for a couple of years. What Kaino did to him in the RWC was immense.... but yeah it was 4 years ago...

I thought they were only based on the international season in any year. Club form never get's considered.

Summed up perfectly fatprop. If Lilo got his running game back he'd be close but the last couple of years he's had no where near the running threat of Foley. Are there any young 10's coming up the ranks with a strong running game?

Bit harsh to say his ship has sailed especially given how young he is although he does seem like he is on the decline but I couldn't think of any other youngster's with his skill or potential. Plus I really do like the look of Kerevi at 12 and Goodwin at 13. There's something very Nonu/Conrad...

I think you hit the nail on the head for 2016. 10: Foley, backup: Lilo, Development: Jack D 12. To'omua, backup: Lilo, Development: Goodwin/Kerevi 13: Kuridrani, backup: Horne, Development: Goodwin/Kerevi

Genia was just as good at cover tackles, not taking anything away from Foley who was also very good. Whilst his numbers may be good I don't think its a point on difference in terms of selection. I highly doubt he was selected ahead of any of the other guys for his completion rate. Another...

Foley is great. I'm a big fan post RWC form. I agree with you on most of this post, except I doubt Foley is the best defending 10. His defence was average before the RWC. Post RWC he has silenced a few critics including myself.a lot of his defence is cover tackles. I'd easily rate Lilo above...

Yes, to be fair on Vaea he was thrust into super xv last year too early, only just returning form injury and really didn't have the fitness to play yet but he thrived anyway, exceeded expectations and became a regular starter. His fitness and impact got better every game. So I'd say he had...

That is all true, but his previous performances at Test level left a lot to be desired. Take Speight for example who has been the best winger in the last 3 years at super level and we all expected to come in and immediately make an impact at test level but struggled to get into the game. I guess...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Jake White coaching Monteplier should do a world of good for Timani. He has a way of getting the best out of his players, especially forwards.

I doubt Barrett would have been able to kick the goals Carter did in the final, or the drop goal from 40+ metres out.

RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

SBW should have gave his medal to the quiet kid in the stand who was doing the right thing, not the bloody 14 year old rat-bag who broke the rules.

Yes that's what I meant. He ain't there yet but there certainly is hope!

I agree. Douglas was the biggest revelation for me this tourney even more so then Gits. He offers something no other lock in Aus does. I can see some great battles with Douglas against the likes of Etzebeth, Rettalick in the future and I'm quietly confident Douglas will be able to hold his own...

One of those guys off the bench is a nice prospect. Timani has the frame to be a decent jumper and last year Vaea was getting fitter with every game. A strong pre-season will do him well. I'm excited by those two.

Low hard driving tackles that break momentum and he does them on players like Burger and Kaino so it's quite a powerful skill to have in the team. Combine this with his ball-running and work-rate, ability to fetch occasionally makes him a pretty good option. He wasn't nominated for player of the...

Pocock had a superb performance against the Boks - but it was from the bench so that might have hurt his chances of getting points. Likewise he missed the next AB clash and also missed 2 more games in the RWC. I'm not saying it's right, but I can see how Carter won. He probably scrapped some...

I still think goal-kicking is a major issue for us and I can't see any youngsters who look to fill that role. Debz from the Rebels maybe, he's got the distance but his % last year was pretty horrible. Carter was superb in the final. Wish we had a kicker like that.

As long as we get them young enough I have absolutely no problem with this. But signing guys who are already established in the NRL with no rugby background is a waste of money.
