    Round 19 - Reds vs Sunwolves - Friday 13 July 2018

Seems very strange then that he didnt send Timu from the field. A much more straightforward red I would have thought? Home town reffing? (Not a criticism by the way, more an inevitability) Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Reds 2019

I'm looking forward to them picking an attack coach with some experience in the field, and success doing it

    Reds 2019

I thought we'd all agreed that appointing inexperienced coaches who used to be great players is a terrible idea? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Reds 2019

Good news in that the backs this year appeared mediocre at best and uncoached at worst. Good luck for the future Paul Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Maybe he's contractually not allowed during the season Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Well done Samu. Must be fewest votes for the winner/game since they started publishing. He did miss a few games but votes shared around this year Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Reds 2019

When the Force/ARU Alliance agreement was in place everyone at the Force, admin, players, coaches, were employed by the ARU. The force didn't have anyone on the books. Bit of a legacy of that arrangement I suspect Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

By the time To'omua comes back - mid next year, it will have been 4 years since he played regularly at 10 (for the Brumbies in 2015). He's firmly at 12 for the tigers with GEorge Ford at 10 - he might get acouple more games at 10 during six nations. I would think it's pretty fanciful at this...

Quirk and Timu both get 2 weeks reduced from 4 from the weekend's game Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Reds 2019

Rodda debuted in 2017, and his contract is for 2019+ so should be eligible. Timu probably not Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Tried it twice with the Rebels, and had a go with the Tahs as well.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

To be fair to me ;) I choose to focus on the A-League as a model, because it gets brought up "Half" the tim. And they do have an awful lot of foreign funding So I have a look at that model and see if it's applicable to the situation we have with rugby.

:( You're not wrong! And only really Rodda and Kerevi - and maybe Timu at a stretch, would have RA topups which can often delay announcements.

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Regular season now done Oz Super Ruby averaged around 55k, 10% up on last year and higher than the A-league average (around 50k) Reds and rebels were around the same, Brumbies ratings up a fair bit and Tahs were down In aggregate, the increase in ratings is down almost entirely to the lack of...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

To clarify - FFA have managed to convinced (mostly) foreigners to lose $300m on getting their comp to where it is today, and have 10+ more (mostly) foreigners queing up to pay $15m for the privelege of losing $2m+ a year in expansion teams. Well done them. This is not a criticism of FFA or the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

One interesting thing about the ALeague ownership structure is that so many of the owners are foreign - 7 out of 10 teams. Many of the more likely expansion teams have foreign backers as well. What does that says about any possible future ownership of rugby sides here? Sent from my Pixel 2...

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

For the record the TV ratings that get posted here are the averages over the length of the program, occasionally we'll get the peak views (most watching at any one time) Twitter views are really measuring something completely different Interesting experiment for WSR though!
