    Will Genia's injury

Back in time for the early rounds of Super Rugby next year with enough time to get up to speed for The Lions. Swift recovery WG.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Pumas have much more Springbok in their play than All Black. So if what Bob Dwyer writes in his last article is correct then we should be fairly comfortable. The loss of Genia to this team is a bit of an unknown. Hopefully it can be overcome in much the same fashion as the loss of Poey has been...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

We need to be strong up front no matter who we play. The Boks matched the Argies in the forwards and we more than matched the Boks there. There is an obvious advantage for us to exploit right there and it just happens to be the Pumas strength. We also have a backs division that can score points...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

We need to take them on up front and nullify their strength. That's it. They have made a couple of changes in their backs aimed at giving them more creativity but I cannot remember seeing an Argentinian backs division tear anyone up. Like FP says, they will kick up and unders all day long and...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Barnes played at 15 for Uni last year and was outstanding, in the finals I think? Douglas is a good selection and will keep the scrum strong. How is his lineout work? Samo to take Timani's place as the mid-field battering ram. Looking forward to this one!

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Several people here have mentioned playing BB at 15. I never really considered it but I guess his positional play is very good and we know he likes to kick. Should be interesting and no doubt the Pumas will give him plenty of attention. Beale to 15 and BB to 12 when McCabe gets a bit tired...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to stay at 13 from here on in. He gave us some real presence and go ahead in centre field plus defensively he was excellent. But.....he is not a captain. Sheehan to start with Phipps on the bench. However I will say that Phipps managed to clear the ball from the base much quicker than Genia...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

TPN does not have as high a work rate as Moore. He was doing a lot of walking in the first Bled. Hope he can pick it up on the weekend. On the flip side he is very strong in the scrum and carries the ball well. Fainga'a is more like a 3rd openside in the 22.

That's a shame. He was starting to play very well. Hopefully TPN can go the distance.

I agree with Samo starting but would have had Higgers at 6. Dennis needs to stand up to and stop some of that prime SA beef.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

It's a good looking starting 15. The only change I might make is having Higgers at 6 for the sake of a solid lineout. I know Barnes had that great test against the French in between Cooper and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) but I just think he is not really the bloke to be helping to ignite the backline. I guess it will...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

I would be really happy if Ships came in for Mitchell, Beale started at 15, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13 and Taps was on the bench to play 30 minutes at 12. In the pack maybe Slipper starting at TH with Alexander on the bench. That is about all the changes that could be practically made without upsetting the apple...

love to see Taps get a run off the bench at 12 with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

Groucho, I want to see him playing the same calibre of rugby that he was in 2010 and early 2011 as much as the next bloke. I just don't think he is going to get there by sitting on the bench or in the stands. If he's fit he is good to go. If he is not then release him from the squad and give...

He's not broken, he is just fat out of shape.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

I agree with that but the selectors obviously felt he was up to scratch and fit. If he remains in the squad then select him. If he is not going to be selected then release him completely, have a look at him again at the end of the year and replace him with someone else for this championship.

    The ranting at Deans/ARU/O'Neill/Players thread

It is a tough call for whoever the new coach is, however the prospect of a new coach (Link) having a chance of pulling this group together and the Wallabies giving the Lions a run for their money is far more appealing than the current group serving up the rugby they are playing at the moment...
