2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

I don't think so Biggsy. We have a backs division that will be very hard to break through the centres. Sharpie eluded to the Wallabies holding onto the ball in the podcast and it has also been mentioned by several others in the lead up to this test. Deans is going to try and take them on up...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

Hopefully we will see this configuration late in the game with Barnes moving out one and either Fainga'a or Horne getting a rest.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

He needs to try and win this home test. Has he really pushed Quade outside of the reckoning because he went public about not subscribing to the RWC gameplan or is Cooper legitimately not ready for test rugby? He sure looked it in those last few games for the Reds. I am no expert but the...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

He needs to be picking a side that has the best chance of winning, not one that he feels(wrongly)has the best chance of limiting reputation damage to him personally. Let's face it, his reputation is getting sucked down the gurgler rapidly and a close loss with a very conservatively chosen side...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

That puts an enormous amount of pressure on Genia and KB (Kurtley Beale) to make something happen in attack. The 5/2 split is a good one as most of the backline can play in multiple positions. Quade must really be in a bad place right now. Will he get a run in club rugby this week? He is not going to get any...

So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

He is the one we have and is proving difficult to move on. Link's turn in the hot seat is coming soon. Before Deans I was in favour of the best possible coach, from anywhere, to coach the Wallabies. From here on in it should be the best possible Australian coach.

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

Quite. Where do they come up with this stuff? Horne to 12......................really?

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

This is probably more like it. A potentially Bledisloe losing decision has been taken out of Deans hands by McCabe being unavailable. To play Cooper at 10 or not? Barnes is Deans second preference at 12. Now if Deans was really smart and could think back to the test against the Frogs in France...

    Waratahs 2013

This cleanout needed to happen. There is only one way for the Tahs to go from here. I agree with FP in hoping that someone has been putting together a plan for the future. But who would that have been?

Wallaby No 10 jersey - Barnes or Cooper?

If it was up to me I would go with this, but I doubt Deans will play McCabe at 13.

Wallaby No 10 jersey - Barnes or Cooper?

JOC (James O'Connor) will be picked on one wing when fit. It will be interesting to see who Deans plays at 13 when JOC (James O'Connor), Ioane and Beale are all available. Will he stick with Horne or move AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to outside centre?

Wallaby No 10 jersey - Barnes or Cooper?

Barnes can cover 10,12 and 15 and can be available for an early run on should any particular test need tightening up and/or closing out. Or you could play Barnes at 12 which would push McCabe right out of the 22. Deans will not play the latter at 13, which is probably the correct decision until...

Wallaby No 10 jersey - Barnes or Cooper?

Should be Cooper with Barnes on the bench. Cooper and Genia have a very good understanding of what works for them and the team. McCabe will be at 12 for now.

    Link or White?

I don't think so. He knew that the Reds needed something special with the Sharks well and truly on song and took a punt on Genia. It did not pan out but he would never have to make such a choice for the Wallabies.

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

This Weepu I seriously doubt he will even be first choice for the ABs right now, if in the 22 at all

    Wallabies 2012 Championship Squad

Which Reds players will be chosen in the next squad? Slipper Hanson-maybe (Charles would be better for the 3rd hooker) Simmons Gill Higgers Genia Quade Ioane Ant Fainga'a Morahan

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

He would be one of the first picked in any world 15(at 9). Unfortunately he cannot play 9 and 10 at the same time for the Reds

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

S.Fainga should not get anywhere near the Wallaby squad again. His ball handling is terrible and he draws penalties because of his thuggish play. His two knock-ons today really stymied any momentum the Reds had in the first quarter when they really needed to score and put the brakes on the...

    Waratahs - Positivity thread

sorry to be so negative on this particular thread but I cannot see much good in this season. I am Sydney born and bred and stopped taking much interest in the NSW rugby setup a couple of years ago because of repeated disappointments. It's like banging your head against a brick wall coming back...

    Waratahs - Positivity thread

It was a positively crap season and many more loyal Waratahs supporters have turned their backs on the NSWRU and their team. Next season can only be better for NSW.........one would think.
