    2020 Super Rugby Round 2 - Waratahs v Force

Ralston is quality. Terrific pace and finishing ability. Ferris likewise is a very promising young player. Will give a good account in the battle of the backrows. Stowers could be a standout. Hits as hard as anyone in defense and also good with ball in hand. Great to see the Force back...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It would/will be an interesting situation D if say the Brumbies and Rebels finish 1st and 2nd in this year's domestic competition. Which two teams would get NZ's condescension? The two who might put up a fight or the two historic teams who might just continue the dominance by NZ sides?

    Reds 2020

My recollection is that Fardy played 6 from the start at the Brumbies. I recall talking with Laurie Fisher in Scott's first season and predicting he would take the award for best player later that year, but Laurie pointed out that he was an injury replacement and wouldn't be eligible to...

A nationwide petition to have Kearns removed from commentating?

FP even a commercial operation should take notice of the views being expressed by their customers. If Fox feel that they don't need to remove Kearns, then what sort of feedback are they getting about him?

    Wallabies 2020

The number of Tahs is not the essential problem. It is the individuals who are not the best in their spots who grate with e and I daresay a lot of other fans given the nature of a multitude of posts over the years. Hopefully with the end of the Cheika era, this will disappear now. The...

    Wallabies 2020

One player has led his team's attack to 5 or 6 wins out of 6 or 7 this year. The other has one win from the same number of games. Discussion is pointless at this stage. I also fully expect Rory Arnold will be back for the tests. No need to get knickers in a knot over a return of Rob...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Interested in your thoughts behind this suggestion RY. The Brumbies have arguably the best current and future-proofed rosters in the country. Why would you think they'd be looking for 6-8 Fiji/Samoa players? And both teams struggle for crowds at home. Costs of playing a couple of games in the...

I would prefer Valetini to Samu at 6. Think Pete will be a contender off the bench. In the backs, I'd swap To'omua and JOC (James O'Connor). Both have bad habits that disrupt the flow of play along the backline, MT kicks too much while JOC (James O'Connor) doesn't show his ability to set up play at 10. As a Brumbies supporter, I...

Really don't think we need Kerevi that much. Seems to me that some of our attacks in the SRAu are better than any when Kerevi was part of the (Reds/Wallabies) teams. Not saying he isn't a top notch player, but just that there is little cohesion or variety in attack when he's playing.

Nah, Wright is being misused at 6. He is the best 7, so pick him there.

    Wallabies 2020

Seriously exposed? The Brumbies led that game to the end when they cruelled themselves by tempting Berry to intervene in a series of pick and drives to close the game out. And Berry, the ref who thought almost decapitating a Brumbies player was worth a penalty only when the disciplinary...

    Wallabies 2020

Based solely on this weekend's games. I'd have as : 1. Lolesio 2. To'omua 3. Harrison 4. JOC (James O'Connor) I reckon Harrison outplayed JOC (James O'Connor) and Lolesio outplayed To'omua. JOC (James O'Connor) had a bit of a shocker really for the Reds. He did not handle the pressure of the rush defense at all and was forced into rushed kicks...

Not sure what you mean 'adder. Some sort of cunning plan, or what? I never mentioned the Force at all, so hopefully you are not implying I have ceded victory to them? I will keep my powder dry on the Force until I've seen them play a couple of games.

One of Swinton or Valetini is likely to finish up with a very sore arse.

    Waratahs 2020

BH, BH, Angus Bell is really a most promising player with a scrummaging weakness. He was often well beaten up in the scrums at U20s, and it is asking a hell of a lot for him to front up at SuperAu level. He has pace and guile in open play, and is not at all on the short side. Could he one day...

WOB, towards the end it was conceivable that the game would go to golden point. Had that happened, I presume Scrafton could have been replaced at the appropriate time?

2020 Super Rugby Round 1 (REDUX): Brumbies v Rebels

Qwerty, Lolesio is currently a mile in front of Harrison in the chase for the No 10 Wallaby spot. Every week this year including this weekend, Lolesio has just moved further ahead. And for the likes of some posters (Fatprop? etc) who go on and on about the advantages of playing 9 or 10 behind...
