    Wallabies 2020

Agree, and CFS has entered himself into the race too.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Overall impressions. Brumbies looked very lethargic and not switched on at all in the first half. Maybe the bus trip takes a bit out of the traveling team. The second round bye probably did nothing to improve their chances too. Tahs are still improving as the young players gain experience...

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

That's true but went from bad to worse, then.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Hardly a proper test tonight. As soon as Swain left the field, the Brumbies had all backrowers in the back 5. With the amount of ball the Tahs pinched, they should have been able to get across the line.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Bugger me Dan you are an obstinate SOB. Robinson's statements to date clearly indicate the competition will have all five NZ franchises in it, and he is disparaging of Aus rugby by saying there should be only 2 or 3 sides from here. Looks a lot to me like he thinks it's his comp and he will say...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Hey, Dan, SANZAAR is almost extinct, and will be if NZRU pull out to make their own competition. No way have the SA sides been thrown out. The comp they were part of will just not exist any more, and I might add, it will be at the initiative of the NZRU, not RA. I said before and I'll repeat -...

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Just my own unsubstantiated observation Molman. But I reckon he also bends over backwards to not give the Wallabies an edge in penalties too. Especially in the first half of matches. Would be interesting to see if the official stats bear out my feelings to any extent.

Super Rugby AU R3 - Reds v Force

Maybe. I just remember BB with the embarrassed little smile afterwards.

Super Rugby AU R3 - Reds v Force

Beuden Barratt charged down by Ennor. Happens to the very best if they take it too easy.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So long as NZRU run Aotearoa and RA run all the Aus sides. We cannot in good conscience allow another country to control the workings of rugby at this level in this country. Too much fertile territory for conflict of interest issues to arise which in all probability would be designed to enhance...

Super Rugby AU R3 - Reds v Force

Can't see it being a slaughter at either side's hands. I believe the Force have a superior off-loading game to the Reds, probably the best in the country. Reds should have superiority at scrum time in the early parts of the game, but I can see the Force finishing with the stronger scrum when...

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Actually, UTG, that's one for Tahs fans to bank come Saturday evening if he stays true to form.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Doesn't know a scrum from a pigsty in mud. Also has a tendency to penalise home teams more heavily than visitors in the first half of games. Still, not the worst going round.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

And Nick Frost, Lachlan Lonergan, both with potential written all over them. I was really only talking about the gameday 23 above.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

Tahs will strengthened by having Tom Robertson starting and Bell on the bench. Five of last year's U20s on the bench looks good for the future. As well as Harrison and Walton in the starting side. In contrast only Lolesio in the Brumbies side. Hope to see Banks fired up and his duel with...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

    1) - hmmmm. If you (meaning me) can't say something good about a person, don't say anything. And I thought the Rebels THP was very like Kepu in his younger days. 2) - I often think the Brumbies, also with a strong scrum, should adopt this approach as well.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 3 - Waratahs v Brumbies @ ANZ Stadium - Saturday 18 July

HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) is consistently one of the best forwards going round in all teams week to week. I believe he is still learning his craft at THP, but he'll give a good account of himself at scrum time in any game. Bell, otoh, I'm not so sure. He struggled against props his own age at U20s, and does get...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

I'm hoping he is being developed and that his potential will be realised one day. At the moment, he reminds me of Kepu when he first came to notice at the Tahs. For some time, he was an outstanding runner with the ball rather than a strong scrummaging prop.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 2 - Waratahs v Force

Thanks BH. That confirms my impression. Tahs certainly had the possession in the second half. Finished the game much stronger than they started it. Thought Hooper had an outstanding game, and Maddocks is doing everything I expected he would when given the 15 spot. I continue to be impressed...
