    2020 Super Rugby Round 2 - Waratahs v Force

Silver, that looks a bit ambiguous. Half time count penalties conceded, 6 - 4 to the Tahs. Full time count 12 - 10 to the Tahs. Is that still penalties conceded or penalties awarded? If awarded, does that make the second half count 8 - 4 awarded to the Tahs?

    Wallabies 2020

Cyclo, these threads are pretty much dominated by opinions from Tahs and Reds supporters. Most of those opinions are closely related to the teams they support. When there are more than a few claiming that Will Harrison is the best No 10 in the SRAu comp, or the likes of Paisami is ahead of...

    Wallabies 2020

TSR, I am very hopeful that both Lolesio and Harrison will develop in the manner each of us aspire for them. It can only be good for the game in this country.

    2020 Super Rugby Round 2 - Waratahs v Force

Would be interested to see the penalty count for the second half , and overall if someone has it. Seemed that the penalties were heavily in the Tahs favour at least after half time.

    Wallabies 2020

In general play, I agree. But they didn't have front foot ball behind the scrum going backwards. Again, I would have to question whether Harrison is showing good form or not after the game against the Force. Mostly just transferred the ball to an outside player without threatening the...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

4m forward if you watch its projectory in relation to the 5m line. Terrible error by the officials.

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Dan, it seems to me that the type of manipulation you're talking about is first and foremost the role of the No 10 in managing the attack. The lack of that ability in some teams is sad commentary on the skills of the players in the 10 spots primarily. Both games this weekend contained four very...

    2020 Super Rugby Round 2 - Waratahs v Force

Not sure if anyone else has answered Wilson, but I understand the mark is not given only where the kick is taken inside the opposition 22m.

Close Barb. Tahs got up late, but didn't run away with the game. I thought Jono Lance was way below par. Tahs' greater experience at this level saw them through.

    Wallabies 2020

Just two observations TSR. The Rebels had the Brumbies on the back foot last week but both Joe Powell and Noah Lolesio outplayed their respective direct opponents, including the incumbent No 10. Neither of them rely entirely on the strength of the Brumbies as a team to show their best. Also...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

I accept your opinions on the various players dru, but I cannot agree on your take on Stewart or Campbell. We'll see how they go in the rest of this comp against their direct opponents for higher honours.

Thanks KOB, I really meant fire him as a 10. True he is a top No 12 and would be a huge improvement in place of Billy Meakes with Deegan on his inside.

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Reds scrum dominant all game. Reds problem is that Stewart, Campbell and Hegarty are all run of the mill Super players who will never win a game for you. JOC (James O'Connor) is way out of sorts at 10 and Paisami is a League player making a poor attempt at playing 13. McDermott and Daugunu are the only players...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

That's true, but mostly they've tried to correct it by going back to the line but they could easily be penalised by a more pedantic ref. Actually, I reckon this is the best performance I've seen from this ref ever. A very good outing so far.

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Agree, but McDermott really needs to be spoken to and perhaps penalised a few time for crooked feeds. He invariably aims the ball at his second row.

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Looks like he needs to improve his scrummaging though. Rebels scrum much improved with Ainsley on.

    Wallabies 2020

True, but each had significant weakness in their games. IF had issues with passing and kicking in general play. Beetle was very poor in defense as well as being a disruptive influence off the field. In my view, Maddocks is already better than those two in those specific aspects. He is...

    Wallabies 2020

I'd pick you up on one point TSR. I haven't said Lolesio (that I can recall) should be the Wallaby 10 (yet), just that he iswell in front of Harrison atm. I fully expect To'omua will fill thetest No 10 spot this year. My gripe really is that some posters are quite vocal about Harrison being the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Money is important to professional rugby players, especially in a time when their wages are being cut pretty much across the board. I just wonder if Forrest might be in a position to keep their wages at the level to which they've become accustomed? Maybe between GRR and Europe/Japan, not many...

Super Rugby AU Round 2 - Reds vs Rebels

Reds have a definite edge in the backrow, but if the backline gets similar disrupted ball, if any, as they did against the Tahs, I think they could be shocked by this Rebels side. The balance of the game is probably wholly, or mostly, in JOC (James O'Connor)'s hands. Interestin g match up there too, JOC (James O'Connor) v MT.
