Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

KOB, I really feel for you having to decipher votes from sources who seem to have different opinions of what the team represents. In my case, I believed the team should have considered only the players who played that particular weekend and only in the positions they played. Others clearly...

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

Based on his time on the field against the Rebels, I'd have to disagree on playing Mack at 10. He looked lost most of the time and when he took the line on he was mostly pushed back further than where he started. I see him as a 15 primarily who can fill in on the wing when necessary. Bayley...

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

    Ok, so I'll have the first go: 1. Orr 2. Horton 3. Tupou 4. Philip 5. Hosea 6. Kemeny 7. Hooper 8. Naisarani 9. Gordon 10. Deegan 11. Ramm 12. To'omua 13. Magnay 14. Kellaway 15. Maddocks 16. Uelese 17. Robertson 18. HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) 19. Hanigan (despite his poor discipline; excellent lineout work)...

But Dempsey played 8, KOB. Admittedly he put in an excellent shift but I thought the rules are that players were to be picked in the position they played. So, on form over the whole of the year, then Valetini is the man. 6 is a bit of a problem this week for the TOTW, as is LHP.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 - Waratahs vs Reds @ SCG, Saturday 8 August 2020

Excellent skills by the Tahs tonight. Will be many in the TOTW I expect.

Maddocks back to his best in this game. Very impressed with Horton too. All the others between are having a ball. Not forgetting Tom at LHP too, with one of the hardest jobs in Aussie rugby - facing Tupou in the scrum.

And it was always a strong point at the Force. He didn't even unleash one of his most accurate and lethal weapons last night in the kick/pass to the winger just out from the tryline.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

How much time does Deegan have to decide the next move? Consistently taking the right options after surveilling the field. Best No 10 all round performance in this country for a long time. Overall, not a single Brumby outplayed his opposite. A few aspects of the game did leave me more...

Not so sure Will is a good defender. Think I saw some recent stats where he has missed the most tackles in SRAu. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

Rebels outplayed the Brumbies tonight in almost every facet. Brumbies scrum finished on top, but that had no bearing on the outcome. Every game has a few stand out moments that can set the tempo of the game. While not in any way saying the Rebels wouldn't have won, the first penalty against...

More accurately D, the suggested replacement in past years was always David Pocock. Personally, I think Wright is very close to Hooper right now and offers a better jumping option which allows a better balance in the backrow.

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

Just rotating the wingers according to the CT. Not sure if James Slipper is carrying an injury. Harry Lloyd won't disappoint. Will also be good to see Len Ikitau have a run. In other news Jahrome Brown has been released temporarily to return to NZ on compassionate grounds. Possibly back...

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

That would be about the best and most balanced side the Rebels could put on the field. Brumbies also with a strong side so should be another close and contested game.

Plays on the ball significantly more than Hooper did during the lamentable Cheika years.

    Wallabies 2020

For best balance in the backrow, I'm favouring, 6 Valetini, 7 Wright, 8 Naisarani. Toss up between Samu and Wilson as bench cover. I have no doubt Wilson will be one of the very best in another year or so. Tough on Hooper, but Wright gives another and better lineout option as well as being a...

Thought it was James Slipper he had in mind.

That's a pretty bloody good team and strong bench KOB. While I voted JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 and seriously thought it was the best game I've seen from in that spot, I still think the No 10 position is the most in question as far as upcoming test matches are concerned.

And the Force too D. Temporarily located in the Hunter Valley I believe.

Sully I reckon the Reds will have taken a lot out of the Brumbies game and will front up for this game with a lot of confidence. Can't see an upset.
