    Nz domestic rugby 2020

The midfield for NI is interesting. Three out and out No 13s imo although ALB usually plays 12 at the ABs as I recall. Umaga-Jensen had a particularly impressive SRA I thought.

    Wallabies 2020

Might get a chance to see him in the last few games. Has been training and has been quoted in the Canberra Times as being fit to play and hopeful of getting some time on the field.

What's Kaitu'u's situation Sully? I also had him on the bench.

State of the Union (origin) discussion

Some good logic in the flow of the games KOB. To make it simpler, maybe even retain the same forwards and backs groupings, subject to injuries, and change the combination around, so that Qld/WA forwards then combine with NSW/Vic backs for the G&G trial and vice versa. Could throw some light on...

    Wallabies 2020

Rebels certainly lacked direction without To'omua, but that was mostly down to the half backs and the pigs. Lomani must be the slowest No 9 in world rugby to clear the ball from a ruck. Tuttle simply had little idea where he fitted into the attacking structures, while during the period the Rebels...

When he doesn't start in an off side position. ;) But he has looked good in his last couple of games and is well in the mix for the Wallabies.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

Details Tragic? Can't say that I've seen too many errors. But, having said that, I am of the view that none of the 2019 U20s should be rushed into the Wallabies this year. Plenty of time to get them ready for RWC 2023 and/or Lions Tour. Right up until last week, I've also held the view, and...

    Wallabies 2020

Just two comments D. Did you notice MK's kick in general play on the weekend? Led directly to Campbell's break and a try to the Reds. Not a good recommendation. People tend to overlook the experience Deegan has playing 10 in GRR and NRC. More experience and quality game time than any of the...

    Brumbies 2020

Nic has been training with the Brumbies over the past few weeks. If there are no contact/insurance issues I won't be surprised if he gets quite a few game minutes in the last three rounds.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

A load of crap IMO. I watch and enjoy the NZ derbies but my preference is the local derbies being served up in SRAu. I think there are more fans with similar response than some quarters wish to concede. SRAu will prosper if given the chance and if managed effectively. This article reads...

    Wallabies 2020

There is an excellent crop of youngsters coming through from the 2019 U20s, but I don't think it is likely, or even fair to them, to be expecting them to make the Wallabies first 15 this year. Closest to being ready at Wallaby level would have to be Wilson, McReight, Harrison and Lolesio. They...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

BS Adam. Both games yesterday were exciting events with play going from end to end (save for the period the Rebels were pressing on the Reds line) but for different reasons. The NZ game saw dropped ball early in almost all phases and both teams counter attacked from mistakes of the other...

I really don't mean to be critical of Tupou, and the only post I recall that mentioned him was a response to a criticism of Faumasili saying that he didn't get on top of a rookie opponent,. I merely pointed out that TT didn't dominate his opposite as well. The scrum battle was very competitive...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

I agree, JOC (James O'Connor) on the bench to cover all positions from 10 to 15. I'm not really sold on either JOC (James O'Connor) or MT at 10 as they are both stopgaps at best. Neither is a specialist 10 so right now I'd have Deegan and Harrison as the 10s with MT at 12 and JOC (James O'Connor) in 23.

I agree about the lead up to the line break, though some of your Tates and Tuttles seem to have got mixed up in the telling, but the movement could still have been stopped had Magnay stayed on Stewart.

? Harsh on JOC (James O'Connor) for playing too deep? Which Brumby is the Wallabies 10 who he will usurp? My preferred 10 would be Deegan or To'omua though MT looks a lot better at 12. Magnay for missing an important tackle? Not even in the running for a Wallabies spot atm. Who else, please tell.

Are you happier with a disconnected opinion? I was without bias as I didn't favour one side over the other, just enjoyed the game for what it was. I'm sure everyone on the site understood what I meant. :(
