Who would be Wallaby captain for RWC if Rocky isn't fit?

He's been good in Super rugby but against the best in the world, he's been average....would be lucky to be in the top 4 or 5 IMO.....maybe he'll play better as captain but for all the talk there's been about him, he really hasn't fired a shot in the big Tests eg. Bledisloe Cup games.....

Genia still hasn't proven himself on the international stage yet....

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Bloody shocker of a week....don't have a baby during the Super Rugby season...really f**ks up your picks....my wife smoked me in this round though so maybe that theory is stuffed....lol

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

carter was called to have been short not held-up. If he called that he was short then it's the Tahs 5m scrum....if he called held-up (which it wasn't at all) then it's the Reds ball.

    LOL....fixed now

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

Actually, the ref called that it was because they took it into the maul which collapsed and was then unplayable....which was incorrect. It wasn't 'unplayable'...they just thought they scored a try....should have been 5m scrum to the Tahs

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

Yeah - 3 NZ teams in the Top 6 I think....lucky NZ... QC (Quade Cooper) looks shaky under real pressure when the game gets tight.....if the Tahs had someone with some attacking ability outside Beale, they would have taken that game....wtf will they do in 2012??
  9. Bullrush

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

Still unconvinced by the Reds....they are fortunate that they haven't even played a NZ team yet.....Mitchell going down and then TPN spelled the loss of the game - especially with Beale going to FB and Halanghu coming in...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Bloody hell....stuffed up transfers and ended up with SBW still in my team playing....I don't know wtf I was thinking....anyways: Toby Smith, MacKintosh (Blaauw) Mealamu (G Robinson) Matfield, Sykes (Ali Campbell..."Tears from my eyes keep on fallin'") Whiteley, Vito, Kaino (Thompson) Pretorius...

Cooper Vuna named in Tonga squad

If all things were equal then I would agree but they aren't. Here's a couple of issues: 1. A young Samoan fella is selected to play for the All Blacks at 22 maybe. Compared with playing for Samoa, becoming an All Black carries with it not only the satisfaction of knowing that you're considered...

Blues vs Rebels, North Harbour Stadium - 2011R10

From Pat Lam's desk: Firstly it’s just fantastic news for us as a team that Keven Mealamu has re-signed with the Blues and the New Zealand Rugby Union for two more years. To have your captain, the leader of the team and the guy who drives your standards commit for another two years is great...

    NO Salary Caps in Australia

You won't have to worry too much about a salary cap if you can do two things: 1. Make the Wallabies jumper the Holy Grail of rugby for players. Money isn't everything and players will take pay cuts to stay and play for something 'greater than themselves'. There are plenty of NZ players who...

    NO Salary Caps in Australia

I am quickly beginning to think that the most important person in any team in any sport is the coach. If I ran or owned a club, the coach may be the most highly paid person in the squad. And if the coach is good, you stand by them thru thick and thin, wins and losses, player power and...

Rebels vs Highlanders - AAMI Park - 2011R09

Maybe....I think the biggest difference in the Highlanders this year though is the coach - Jamie Joseph. He coached the unbeaten Maori team last year which included wins over England and Ireland (I think). He seems to have a knack for taking the 'left-overs' and giving them real pride and...

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Nah...I was laughing too hard at Turners self-imposed face-plant to hear the commentators.
  19. Bullrush

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Not even close....he hit the ground too hard and too early and the ground wasn't wet so instead of sliding, he basically face-planted himself in the turf. You say Toeava shouldn't have let him go but with Turner being that low so far out from the line, he did the only thing he could which was...

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Give your self an uppercut - the only person Turner has to blame is himself. He dived way to early and by the time Toeava hit him, his head was at about the height of Toeava's ankles. Should Toeava just let him go?? I think Turner thought he was gonna slide across for the line.....he was useless...
