    Brumbies 2017

Didn't Pulver say he wanted structural change in the coaching roles at the wallabies, no more part-time roles. So he could be tossing up between HC at the Brums or full-time assistant coach at the wallabies.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

    What happened to Arnold?

Hooper is probably more like Savea if you want a like-for-like example. Minus the footwork. The goal of my post was to explain to you his selection in the team over the other poor options, not how comparable he is to McCaw - obviously not the same league as McCaw. So who are you selecting...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

Yeh those calls annoy me. I hate the "rules are rules" point of view. We might as well have computers as ref's if that's the way you want to go. If it has zero bearing on the game, and gives zero advantage or disadvantage to either team then the ref should let it go for the sake of the flow...

It's simple Bullrush. What would you do if Poey and McCaw were in the same team and your best number 8 was McMahon? Are you really going to drop one of Poey and/or McCaw so McMahon can start at 8? I bet my ass you'd start both - even if it is a little unbalanced, an out of position McCaw/Poey...

Nah people don't rate him as an 8, it's not like he was nominated for player of the year playing in that position. And was favourite to win the thing if it wasn't for Carter's superb RWC final's effort. No offense though Bullrush, I can see what your argument is based on. A backrow balance...

"that selection was totally justified by results" - we lost. McMahon was also very poor in the second test, so it's hard to say his inclusion was justified over Gill. Personally I'm baffled he is continually selected ahead of Gill. But I do agree with your last statement, backrow issues are...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

As a Brumbies fan I hate the Tahs 99% of the time.. But I certainly cheered them on during their 14' final. Always back an Aussie team before the others.

The 'Pooper' is fine. Its the other 21 players that's the issue.

Yes Poey back soon is always a positive!

    Blues v Waratahs - Friday 15 July 2016

Firing okay against the Reds is nothing to be proud of ;) Brumbies are certainly capable of lifting significantly though, they have the players to win against any opposition. Hopefully this is the week they wake-up and start playing to their potential.

    Blues v Waratahs - Friday 15 July 2016

Only way that is going to happen is with around 5 line-out to maul tries. No other way of the Brumbies scoring tries unfortunately.

    Waratahs v Hurricanes, round 16, 9 July 2016

The problem is players have these weaknesses and NO real point of difference. Foley - Can't kick, stuggles to be sole playmaker - good runner but hardly a point of difference. Phipps - can't kick, irratic passer - can cover tackle and is very fit but that's hardly a worthy point of...

    Waratahs v Hurricanes, round 16, 9 July 2016

Agree on Skelton but the same can be said of Folau and Horne, and to a lesser extent Foley. I don't think Naiya fits the "unbalanced" argument. He's a winger - he does his core role well: scoring tries. He would fit in almost any back-3 with a traditional fullback. Unfortunately you got a...

    Blues v Brumbies - Friday 8 July 2016

2012-2013 team played much more dynamically then this years absolute one dimensional rubbish. "As I said in a following comment, scoring beautiful tries against the nuffies means fark all." - what a completely false statement with no basis at all. The Brumbies played attractive competitive...

Super rugby 2016, the run home

It would be pretty funny if the Aus conference winner who played mediocre rugby all season turns up in the finals and wins the thing. That would piss a lot of people off. Mainly New Zealanders. I can't wait...

    Blues v Brumbies - Friday 8 July 2016

Larkham certainly has a lot to learn. Definitely not a good coach, but I don't think a poor one either. Certainly not on Grahams level who took a finals contending Reds team to a cellar dwellars in one year. Larkham at least maintained / slightly dropped performance since White's departure...

I thought he was done after he took that huge hit. I was surprised he wasn't replaced at half time.
