South African Rugby - Ongoing Stupidity

What are you on about? Where did I say drop the Currie Cup? But you seem to live in this parallel universe where the Currie Cup will be enough to prepare players for test rugby. The Currie Cup and Super Rugby are both very important.

Fantastic idea Paarl. I agree. Currie Cup is a much better standard than Super Rugby. Fuckit. Let's turn the clock back to pre-92 when we played with ourselves and thought we're just the bees bloody knees. Wasn't it great being like ten year old boys wanking off behind the garden shed...

    Heineken Cup 2013

Is there a more godawful team to watch on this planet than Racing Metro who look and play like a bunch of fat thugs with no skills? Never seen so many overweight rugby players. Forwards and backs. Team's a mess with the Coach relieved of his duties and off in the South of France on holiday.

Scott Higginbotham - Liverpool kiss on McCaw

True. Spotted it only after I posted. Still quite amazed that someone could have thoguht it was accidental. Me? Look for a fight? Never. ;)

Wallabies v All Blacks 20th October MOM

Higgers. Has to be. Anyone who can knee and headbutt McCaw in the space of 30 seconds deserves a fucking medal. :D (As for the rest of his play he should get a bucket of shite)

Yes. That's pretty evident. We need to protect our best. That's my point. We do not have the same depth at the top of the heap. They do.

Quade telling it how it is

There's a Soap Opera in here somewhere. Any GAGR's have script writing ambitions?

South African Rugby - Ongoing Stupidity

Not to mention that often a coache's job has been on the line in the CC. I was watching a bit of the Cheetahs game with Strauss playing at hooker this morning. At one stage he looked like he was injured and I thought who the hell is going to Captain up North with JdV already 50/50. I...

South African Rugby - Ongoing Stupidity

Ah yeah sorry I see. We play a couple less tests than you guys so everything is just absolutely fine. How did I miss that? This is a problem we have had for many years. Not a once off issue this year. It has been well documented and is always a huge complaint of every Bok coach...

South African Rugby - Ongoing Stupidity

What an odd thing to say. Luck? Who else do you blame than management when an organisation is broken? I am saying that the whole system is broken. Guess who runs it? SARU, a completely toothless organisation for so many reasons I'd derail the thread if I went into them. The bottom line is...

Nope. Structure is such that it won't happen. Going to cost us year in and year out. How many EOYT can you remember wiht loads of injuries? Sure, it gives youngsters a chance but you can't build continuity.

South African Rugby - Ongoing Stupidity

So we see again the effects of the Bok management not having a say as to when players can return to action for their provinces. Barely back from the RC most provinces had their Boks back in action in the Currie Cup last weekend. As a result Andries Bekker is again out for the season as is...

Woodcock chooses to be a Highlander in 2013.

Thorn confirmed. Not winning the thing would surely be considered a reasonably large failure with all that cattle. PS Surely not Hoeta at 5?

Bryce Lawrence - JO'N forced my retirement

Why should JON or anyone else justify anything about a ref? Everyone else knew Bryce has been uttterly useless for some time and it just took a bit of time for Paddy and Co to catch up. Bruwheresmycar it's nice to have little jibes at Saffas and be my guest but I reckon had it been the Aussies...

    Dictatorial vs Inclusive coaching

Hornet: Actually traditional SA style coaching was always very dictatorial. It's a cultural thing. Staunch Afrikaner finger wagging my way or bust. That changed with the likes of Mallet (White was his technical advisor), White himself, Heyneke Meyer at the Bulls. Moved with the times. I...

    Dictatorial vs Inclusive coaching

Who would we consider to some of the most successful coaches in the history of the game? And not just international. Not just win/loss but big achievements. Now what were their styles? Macqueen White His Cliveness Sir Henry Kitch Christie Guy Noves (Toulouse) Nic Mallet Cheika Laporte...

All Blacks sponsored by the US taxpayer.

Right. Sorry, I tend to forget they are the 'good guys'. There's been a lot of noise to cut through since 1945.
