It's a bit of a chicken and egg isn't it? Rotate and lose games because of a weaker side or don't rotate and risk injury and lose because of a weaker side.

...

I've gone on record for more than the last twelve months saying that we must forget about team management and now think squad management, so that the best team out of the total squad gets some rest during all the various competitions and doesn't end up getting a rest only when they go into rehab. To my knowledge NZ are the only team that try to do this and I would argue they could do it better.

...

The difference between doing it in a planned way and doing it out of neceesity is plain for all to see. SARU and the ARU just don't get it yet. NZRU does.

Could it be that NZ have developed a greater player pool than either RSA or Aust?

This can only change if Saru get full contactual control over the players. Its not Sarus mistake, its the SA contractual system and no way that will change in future. The provinces pay the players salaries more like the club system up north. Its the players that needs to stop playing if they are not 100%. Absolute nothing to do with Saru, blame the coaches of the provinces for this. There is also a upside to this, players coming back from injury and bad form can get back into form. We should rather cut S15 rugby, its effect shows in the Wallabies run of injuries. CC is the heart of SA rugby and all the top players must do their part to keep it this way.

I can understand your frustration Paarl and Blue, surely the SARFU has someway of making sure players aren't run into ground, it sure beats me why this stuff goes on.

Fantastic idea Paarl.

I agree. Currie Cup is a much better standard than Super Rugby.

Fuckit. Let's turn the clock back to pre-92 when we played with ourselves and thought we're just the bees bloody knees. Wasn't it great being like ten year old boys wanking off behind the garden shed, wondering what pussy actually looked like?

Why didn't I think of that?

Your sarcasm fit close to Baboonism, typical Bulls mentality. If NZ dont have their ITM, they'll be dead, same rule apply with the CC who not only produce the young players for us but also brings in the most income via TV viewership in SA. Been here before.

What are you on about? Where did I say drop the Currie Cup?

But you seem to live in this parallel universe where the Currie Cup will be enough to prepare players for test rugby.

The Currie Cup and Super Rugby are both very important.

???? OK I'll start at the bottom. What is the differense between the NZ to SA rugby setup. Cant compare Aus because they dont have a provincial competition.

Now you're just arguing for the sake of it.

I fully understand the differences between the SA and NZ systems.

That is my point. We will forever stay behind if we cannot fix it. Yes the Unions are responsible but at the end of the day I still blame SARU for being weak and bullied by the Unions. That very fact lies at the bottom of the problem.
