The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

The players do not pick the captain. Protesting is a bit lame. The selectors will choose the squad, the team and then the captain. Then they should all get on with it. Hooper has done an admirable job in testing times and he will most likely be chosen again at some point but there will be a...

    Reds 2015

What I mean is they will not have much luck in keeping current players or attracting new signings until they get a decent coach.........simple enough for you?

    Reds 2015

They are not doing themselves any favours in retaining decent players for next year or for recruiting new ones for the same until they get their internal stuff together. They are on a downward slide despite having a reasonable roster. It's unlikely that JOC (James O'Connor) or Hunt will stick around too long...

    Reds 2015

He might actually have a better chance of making the Wallaby squad if he's not paying for the Reds.............seriously

    Too bad for Quade

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Thats what To'omua brings and he will be the first or second back picked in every Cheika test side, challenged only by Folau. The backline will be built around To'omua.

    Reds 2015

They should have cut KHunt and laid down a marker when the whole drug saga came up. Surely they would have been justified and would not have had to pay him out. The Reds are really lost on and off the pitch ATM. Sad.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Should be fresh for the RWC. Still the standout 13 in world rugby

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The Tahs really mullered the Brumbies in the forwards and restricted any opportunity for good ball. They almost completely shut down TK as well. Not sure if I have seen that before, at any level? I thought Fardy was one of the best in a losing pack and the yellow was very unlucky. I'm not a huge...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

All of a sudden we are inundated with test class hookers. What a difference a year can make!

Campo has lost the plot again. We are very well covered at fullback with Folau, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Beale, JOC (James O'Connor) and Foley in the squad presumably. One or more may miss out if their form is poor and/or if injured. Turner and Coleman are also playing very well at the moment.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Anyone who suggests that Hooper is anything but one of the Wallabies best for the past couple of years doesn't know what they are talking about. However, the major problem over the same period of time for the Wallabies has been an ineffective pack against stiff opposition. Some may even say...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Theres the key. With Hooper at 7 you need a 6 and 8 that play very tight and on the ball. With Pocock you can play an 8 or 6 that plays a little wider like Higgers. That's assuming Pocock completes a successful comeback. I think we saw enough in his first(and only game) to assume that if he...

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

He has to go. The sooner the better. This year is a wash despite some high profile signings before it. Give a young bloke a chance as an interim coach and then consider him and other more experienced candidates for the long term role from next year. The QLD board will state several times that...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

It really depends on the balance of the back row and what sort of game Cheika wants to play. If they are both fit and firing there is no doubt that they will both go (to the RWC). None of those other fellas will get a look in although I would opt for Gill if they needed one. He has a very good...

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

Is Link finished with rugby........in Australia anyway? Qld could do worse. There must be a number of very good grade coaches bumping around that have a proven record at that level. RG has a proven record at Super Rugby level and it's not pretty at all.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

At this stage it will be tough for Horwill to make the squad if Arnold and other youngsters keep coming on. The Force have a couple of good young locks and Luke Jones hasn't been doing his chances any harm either.

    Wallaby Locks

Yeah. He looks a bit green but has a few things on his side. He has the size, the strength and good lineup ability. He can be coached in scrum technique and to be able to utilize his size. We really need to find a big bruiser to partner Simmons in the second row. Coleman could be the one...
