    Wallabies Trinations Squad

The year before he left for o/s he had a very good season for the Ponies, with his long kicking game probably the best of any OZ back. Do you recall all the movement, ie played at 12, 10, centre etc. A few failed experiments in there. Then there was injury that took it's toll on his speed...

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

The OZ 2007 squad most probably would have performed a bit better (even against England) had Larkham been fit. BB was not ready for such a game IMO. Yes the forwards were beaten up, but that's why a Larkham quality could've turned something in OZ favor. Swarley - which of your props cover both...

Should the ARU sue the Boks if they send an under strength side?

What's the clause in the SANZAR that is potentially being breached? A coach selection is a highly subjective matter and there is a massive discretionary power that even the sharpest lawyers would find it difficult to argue some point of contention against a coach. I would suggest that the...

Which team will you support (Only Tah supporters)

I've been surprised at how many Canberrans like the Crusaders. There was the rivalry in the early 2000s and alot of Brumbies fans I've met over the years were genuine fans of the Marshall and Mertz vs Gregan and Larkham matchups. There's definitely joy here in seeing the Tahs fall over though....

    Januarie goooooooooornnnnnneee!

Never understood all the off the ball stuff Month would concern himself with. Earlier in his career he was test quality because he had a decent sniping game, but he was obviously packing on the weight and his game slowed and his skills seemed to as well. So he starts to mouth off more, get in...

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

Agree they've gone backwards but for me that's more around a view that IMO they have an average squad. They have some excellent players in TPN, Beale, Mitchell that are world class players when fit, but then around those guys they have a few decent super level players - Palu, Baxter, Robinson...

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

He had pace back then and actually knew how to hit the line with that pace. He isn't a "test match player" but there's been alot of capped players that by circumstance have made the ABs.

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

Tahs depth was exposed in the 2nd half when the game wasn't going their way. But well done to a couple of the kids in there. A couple of those bench players could have futures at this level. No counter attack going. Anesi has shown very very little as a Tah. Huge fall from the decent form he...

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

I don't think KB (Kurtley Beale) has shown to be able to put on the same show when at 1st receiver this year. He is damaging in broken play and/or with space. 1st 5's don't get alot of opportunity to "make the play" in those situations. When he wants to take on the line at 1st receiver he will get smashed more...

Semi Final Qualifier 2: Crusaders v Sharks: Nelson

Sharks should put plenty of pressure on the Saders back 3, that is the weakest area IMO. There is added pressure on Carter to do most of the creating when he drops back in our 4-man back formation. Yes Guildford is playing well and Marshall is stepping up to this level, but without Dagg and...

    Queensland Reds V Chiefs 2011R18

Fair assessment Ash. Your thoughts on Ralph (and I share them in part) was a similar view I had of Joe Roff (hey another R), was awesome at the Brumbies on the end of GG and Bernie, but I never got the sense he would ever be dominant at test level. Just my personal view and this is no slight...

    Finals predictions

Oh left one off, the Blues will be too good for the Landers.

    Finals predictions

I think the Chiefs will tip over the Reds this weekend, the Cheetahs will pip the Stormers and of course the Saders will beat the Canes with a 4 try bonus point....:) Tahs will beat the Brumbies, however I can't pick the Bulls/Sharks game.

    Why is Tom Carter unpickable?

Agree with an earlier comment that there are plenty of good, even very good Super players that never play test footy or may only get a cap when the plague hits. Peter Hewat was a decent performer but obviously lacked in areas that the national selectors were looking for. From my observations...

I guess the Force did the right thing by Australian rugby eh....

If Force lose I'm guessing Sharpie won't have to do the post game speech as he's injured?

    Western Force vs Reds, 2011R17

Shocking LO throw from the Force, Reds are 2m out. Penalty for off side Theres the game and Reds will win......

    Western Force vs Reds, 2011R17

Pocock has made a million tackles tonight. Even more impressive given it's been high paced end to end & side to side stuff.
