    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

The Brumbies have got a fair bit of stick for being a bit too one dimensional recently. Relying on their set piece too much. They've certainly shown that they can play with ball in hand tonight. But let's not overlook the beauty of the power elements of the game executed well. A beastly scrum or...

    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

Then he needs to address that because the retreating Brumbies did not impend the Chiefs in any way. They were actively trying to get onside. The Chiefs threw a poor pass and Peni should have had his hat trick.

    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

I've always thought that Aus refs are much harder on Aus teams in general than the Kiwi and SA refs are on their teams.

Looking for foul play. Are you serious?

    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

I hope the Tahs are watching this in Tokyo. The Brumbies are doing the fundamental things well first before the razzle dazzle. Rugby is really a simple game made look far too complicated at times. But the Brumbies are showing that executing the basics well creates the opportuities for the...

    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

I suspect that just ended any thoughts of a Chiefs comeback. Lovely damn try.

    Brumbies Vs Chiefs

A quick thing here. Knowing Leiliifano has a right to left fade on his kicks I was looking at his last kick. Which he lined up in the centre of the sticks. Why not aim at the right upright? Foley did that both this week and last. Has a right to left fade but insisted on aimed dead centre. Why...

    Round 2 - Sunwolves vs Waratahs @ 3.15pm AEDST

Selection and recruitment more than game plan in my opinion. Watching HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) it just screams of Paddy Ryan 2.0 who I did not rate when it came to the fundamentals of Propping.

    Round 2 - Sunwolves vs Waratahs @ 3.15pm AEDST

The most disappointing thing is that they are trying to do the fancy stuff but seem to lack the foundation skills to execute them at the level required. Kepu break in the 1st half was indicative of it. Loose one handed carry when he either tuck it under his arm or put it in two hands and look...

    Round 2 - Sunwolves vs Waratahs @ 3.15pm AEDST

Coaching has an impact but the biggest factor are the players. Trying to do the fancy stuff when just the fundamentals would get the job done. Far too many one handed carries in and around the contact. Particularly forwards not working around the corner hard enough. Preferring to lumber over...

    Round 2 - Sunwolves vs Waratahs @ 3.15pm AEDST

The Tahs lack skills, fitness and discipline.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

46k for the Highlanders/Reds yesterday. Seems fairly stable for the 5pm slot on a Friday.

    NRC onwards and upwards

North - Gordon, Norths, Manly, Warringah. Sydney - Uni, Randwick, Easts and Souths. West Syd - Harbour, WS and Eastwood. I don't mind that model as long as you can get everyone to play nice and buy into the concept and approach it with the mindset of selecting the best possible team and not...

    NRC onwards and upwards

Serious question. How competitive would the Champions of the Melbourne and Perth competition be is such a competition? I'm a fan of the NRC but it has been woefully under-resourced and importantly under-promoted in its life time. If this is to occur I'd prefer it to take 4 from Sydney, 3 from...

    Reds 2019

I think it was Quick Hands who brought this up. But Hockey Australia have a really good upskilling program that is open to players of all levels. Rugby has the grounds to do something very similar and it could be done on both a player and coach level. We could do it two tiers. First coaches. A...

    Global Rapid Rugby

What other established competition could they possibly join outside of the structure we already know they will definitely be part of this year?

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

I actually looked up the ratings for that game last year and last night was actually up 14k viewers.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

56k for the Brumbies/Rebels game and 40k for the Chiefs/Highlanders. Could have been worse though. The A-League managed just 18k and 31k for their Friday night fixtures.
