    Folau has never been "quick"

    Wallabies v Italy

Yes and no, for years scratch Aus test "B"sides have struggled to perform against the lessor rank sides It was nice to see someone perform better than I was expecting he still could

    Wallabies v Italy

It is the second playmaker system, I think they want Beale, Foley & To'omua to be fluid in the 10/12 roles. Beale & Foley swapped around all season quite successfully for the Tahs all season. Foley played a lot at 12 despite having 10 on his back.

    Wallabies v Italy

The only reason I can think of is his defense

    Wallabies v Italy

We have a core still of matching the mediocrity of lessor sides. Happy to see To'omua get some time, but I can't see an "ignited" backline with him at 10. Nice kicking, solid defense, but putting someone through a whole - unlikely

Foley plays a lot at 12 with Beale swapping a lot. But I would still prefer Kerevi there. I don't understand the plan, you put Foley at 12 and the outside should get a load of ball - and we pick AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) on the wing when we need pace on the edge The only reason I can come up with, is his defence...

    Wallabies v Italy

Disagree, Kerevi looks far more complete playing 12 than he ever looks at 13. Just a different style to our other options

    Global Rapid Rugby

Why does every new idiot think that the rules are the issue and making the game more like unlimited tackle RL is of benefit?

    Wallabies v Italy

I would start the full team planned to start vs England who is fit, they need a win, they need to see stuff working

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

After not getting the Aus super job he became the coach of Leinster, has them firing and is now short in the betting for the Ireland job

The plan was sensible, the logic is there, the execution was below average

    Wallabies v Italy

I see no upgrade on Pocock (or Hooper) with Samu (just another light weight backrower)

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

That is the difference between the right idea and effective execution. (the kick and the chase)

I would guess the chip kick was planned to attempt to plant the the feet of the rush defence

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I see Beale as symptom of the problem, he is too small to gain metres without a set of pigs going forward, so he reverts to the under 12s and tries to go around them, but it always comes down to the forwards, we just lack accuracy and punch It is obvious how to beat Aus at the moment, stop the...

    Wallabies v Wales (Cardiff)

Yeah, no real idea, but it made the side work with the cattle available. I just like the idea of a Aus RWC team with Kerevi and Kuridrani at 12/13 and Beale playing second player make from 15, with DHP & Folau both back there as well. I just don't think Foley & Beale works at test level as...

    Wallabies v Wales (Cardiff)

For this game, maybe, I think Kerevi is a better 12 than 13, I want a second playmaker so Beale at 15, wingers who can catch and jump looks a reasonable idea. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is the next best 13 we have for Sat.

    Wallabies v Wales (Cardiff)

I would roll the dice Sio, TPN, Ala'alatoa, Simmons, Coleman, Hanigan, Hooper, Pocock, Genia, Foley, DHP Kerevi AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Folau, Beale
