Agree with Churchie being the big improvers. Very well coached, play to their strengths and above their weight. Couple of new additions as well , good to see Izzy Sword running around at 13 down at TSS , I'm sure he will come along very nicely. Churchie v NC v GT at the next GPS trial will...

No boarding facilities at GT B&W, have to try something to stem the tide of talented interstate rugby players filling the dorms of our brethren GPS schools. Agree with you though , he does look the goods, very handy addition to what will be a very handy backline.

BBC up by a couple of tries over BSHS, the other 2 halves GTvBSHS and GTvBBC were all square. All the rugby I saw looked very willing but not exactly expansive, the back fields at TSS are very narrow and the outside backs didn't see a lot of early ball. Saw a little of Churchie v TSS , but...

Yes agree with you GO , won’t take up any more time on this thread talking anything other than AIC . Good luck to all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There were some pretty handy 2s running around at TSS yesterday , see how he stacks up towards the end of June. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any selection process is going to have issues . If we head towards regional selection as in U12 & U15 you have for example NC, GT, BGS, MCA, Padua and St Pats all in the Met North region. How would a kid from outside these schools get a look in and then how would CQ or even Sunshine coast go...

Yes , you would like to think teams get selected on trial form.

Fair call, I’m not even sure he is still at school. More referring back to GPS 1 team nominations started by Terry from Townsville a while back , the 2 spot was left vacant and only one other name was put forward. I’m guessing all of those nominations put forward don’t take into account unseen...

Thought Nesta finished school last year . Played 2 for BSHS and GPS 3 , selected for Qld 2. Doesn’t matter what number you put on his back , he still gets around the paddock like a backrower . If he is still at school , think you just found your 2 for GPS 1 and well in the mix for Qld 1...

Few schools holding internal trials as well getting warmed up for the first of the GPS selection trials at TSS on the 19th of May. All schools at TSS as in previous years, with the second trial on the 2nd June being split between club venues. Only 2 GPS teams being selected this year, will...

Can see how they would fit with MCA hosting a trial with Downlands tomorrow afternoon. Both schools have their First XV squads touring NZ over the Easter break and keen for a hit out before heading across the ditch. Will most likely be a high rotation from both benches, but interested to see...

Also have to be outside BOTH height and weight parameters for testing to be mandatory, if you are only outside one parameter testing is voluntary. Initial screening is off the weight and height you offer up when registering your kid in club rugby , not sure what the school stance is going to be...

I agree , not much to him in the size department , but has great skills and plays well above his weight. Played a full season of First XV last year as a 16 year old in the front row and easily held his own.

He is U17 , not sure what year at school he is in. Maybe doing senior school over three years? He has dominated his age group since U13 and is scary enough as a 17 year old , yet alone if he comes back next year at 18! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 10 spot will be very interesting . Parata probably is the front runner , but Gordon has come a long way since last year's GPS season, he certainly will be better off for his run last year. As will Pasitoa from NC . Interestingly , Pasitoa played at 12 for Qld U16 Red team last year and...

Ruptured his ACL last week, shit way to finish the school rugby journey. Have to feel for those who have their First XV opportunity taken away by injury. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can’t see many disagreeing with you CJ, most will have TSS as the early favourites. They are schoolboys though, so you never know. Should be good season where I think there won’t be too many gimmes. Will need to be at your best each week to win it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GO, the context of my posts should be considered here. They directly relate to your inane comment about "kultcha" at "Terranesia" that was a response to Gungenia's claim that BBC has better culture based on winning a few age group games by big margins. All GPS schools "augment" their talent...
