A make over for Quade Cooper

I think it will be hard for Cooper to "turn it around" from what has played out over the last couple of years. It would seem he's made attempts but because he's given plenty of material to the media in days gone by, his every move and decision will now be played out in that same media and IMO...

    Blues vs Crusaders

No thanks. If Dan is fit we need his defence in that 10 channel. He was still attacking the opponents attack line throughout tonight from that 10 position. Saders scrambled really well and Romano, Whitelock and Franks were really fired up in defence tonight. We needed to bring that physicality...

    REBELS v STORMERS RD 14

No Beale. Indefinite leave from rugby.

    Wallabies Watch

You still need those good arial skills for at least one of your wingers - and we know that's not Digby :) There's been plenty of Super level fullbacks moved to the wing in the step up to test level - eg Roff, Howlett, Jane If he is selected, I think taking the kicking pressure required at FB...

JO'N proposes ANZAC vs LIONS after RWC2015

Plus even today Folau would probably be too good to leave out of a 22. NZ has a lot of walking wounded backs currently.

JO'N proposes ANZAC vs LIONS after RWC2015

If its "current" then Hooper or Gill would make it above Cane, Latimer, Braid, Hardie, Todd. Horwill and Whitelock with Retallic on the bench.

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

He has been training in some capacity. He hasn't been sitting in the corner for 4 weeks. Not being 100% doesn't mean you can't be involved in such a capacity - how many players play under injury clouds, with niggles, with personal stuff going on in their lives, I'd suggest a large number...

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

Who has said he's recovered? I don't recall anyone singing that tune. Again his role off the bench and playing a short amount could be part of his recovery/rehab/process. Again that's not unusual form what I've seen in the road to recovery about getting back into some form of employment role...

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

Issues like this know no age boundaries. There are many 'old' adults that find themselves / choose to be in these situations also. In relation to the duty of care, its the individual who chooses how much they want their employer involved in this. Sure the club can assign a mentor, but its the...

    Kurtley in Trouble Again

Man there's a fair amount of vitriol on this thread. He needs more counselling. Sure moving from Melbourne may help, but it won't solve the problems he appears to be facing. This is not a rugby problem, it's a young person who needs help problem. If what I'm hearing is right, then he needs to...

    Out my way

Wilko has never shied away from a tackle even as an old man. Good on him, made a great highlight :)

    Highlanders vs Sharks

Loved the try, but what I loved even more was seeing the dad's army (ie Thorn and Woodcock) with big smiles on their faces and enjoying the try celebration. MUst have been a tough few months for these guys who are more used to to being in the winners corner than the losers

    Brumbies vs Crusaders - R12

Great post By far our best performance, even better than the Stormers win. Not the finished product but better work from forwards without the name Sam Whitelock or Matt Todd. Ellis and Carter had the backs moving forward and far more direct. Fruean finally had a good game, may it continue...

Waratahs v. Kings Round 12 Sunday 1am EST

Mind you there wasn't a certain Berrick Barnes in the lineup last night stifling the attack, which has been a feature of the last couple of years.....

    Highlanders vs Sharks

Only overrated by Graham Henry as other coaches haven't really rated him as a permanent 1st choice 10. I certainly haven't noticed many fans talk him up either. IMO its just good to see him playing rather than on the sidelines in his no1's

    Force vs Reds - S15 Round 12 - 4 May 2013

It was interesting to see A. Finger go into 1st receiver a fair bit tonight when Cooper was stuck at the bottom of a ruck or was recovering into the line. He was doing it in multiple phases too. The thing that got me is that it wasn't Taps organising the backline attack in those situations.

    Force vs Reds - S15 Round 12 - 4 May 2013

Agree. Straps haven't been hit since Horan and Little were working their magic off the platform set by Morgan and Eales.... :)

    Force vs Reds - S15 Round 12 - 4 May 2013

But that's not unusual for this competition where more often than not its the local derbies that are the closest and the most physical. Some of the Bulls v Stormers and Crusaders v Canes/Chiefs games have bee the most physical games I've ever watched. Also I highly doubt that when the Force go...

    Highlanders vs Sharks

Was their best defensive effort for the season tonight. B. Smith, A. Smith (except some poor kicks), TJ, and the two locks really played well.

    Force vs Reds - S15 Round 12 - 4 May 2013

Not really, they were told to use it and whilst they made an extra metre, the maul became stagnant and the ball got wrapped up. Turnover every time.
