Surprise, surprise, the rules sort out some scrums

That said Mr Timms, the hit is a recent addition. Go back to 80s and they props bound first, then the second row joined and the back row, once all were in the half fed the ball (in the middle) fewer resets, fewer injuries (but I do like a good hit)

Surprise, surprise, the rules sort out some scrums

I liked it - getting the front rows closer reduces the impact of The Hit, but makes scrums more stable. in the end it becomes a fairer contest with fewer resets. I also noticed one ref (think it was kraplan) call it crouch touch pause EN-gage, with heavy emphasis on the first syllable as the...

    Wallabies 22 - Week 1 Super Rugby

I thought JOC (James O'Connor)'s passing showed why he is not suited to an inside back position. on a few occasions he failed to get/keep the backline moving with poor passes. EG pass that went behind Inman late in the game within their 22 which made him turn and catch, instead of shuffle the ball along to open...

Oh please. We have actual money (not mining stock paper money) as well as actual old character suburbs, a beautiful city, and class. Plus we have plenty of hot chicks, and none with awful accents.

is delaney injured, or are you tipping Tana to play the first 20 instead of the last 20?

    The defence of Matt Giteau

Geez, you think he'd struggle to push for a test spot when he has been out of the spotlight for 18 months - not even playing super rugby that year. To'omua shold be the test 10 by that stage

thanks for the link Tanga - you are right, most of the available hotels are closer to Auckland than wellington. Looks like I'm paying for 3 nights at a backpackers in town as well.

    WRC2011 ticket sales

I am struggling for accomodation. Everywhere is booked out, or have tied themselves to tour packages. I have found 2 places, both with a 3 night minimum. I am facing either paying for 3 nights in a backpackers, or hoping Wellington airport has a bar open all night

    WRC2011 ticket sales

I Paid $375 for tickets to Aus QWales at Millenium in 07 - I thought the prices were in line with what I paid for the last RWC. (although agree it is a lot more than for regular tests)

    Waratahs 2011

I think they are both injured - was looking forward to seeing McCaffrey - I hear he was training the house down, but didnt feature in either trial. bech would have to be Allcock - Timani looked he had hooves for hands in the first trial
