Jeez, I've never seen more people in denial in one space before.

from the blog comments, thought I'd double up here OK, here’s my pitch: open on NFJ lifting the RWC in 91, then to Eales doing it in 99. some cut shots of Full stadiums like twickers or Millenium. run the tag line “it’s our time” Action sequences of JOC (James O'Connor) and/or KB (Kurtley Beale) stepping through the...

2010 Wallabies Video MASHUP - Suggestions please

thought of some more notable moments: Burgess v poms in perth, particularly the QC (Quade Cooper) try at 30mins, but also his line breaks make some good viewing JOC (James O'Connor)'s try at Loftus at in the first 5 mins where KB (Kurtley Beale) steps 5 players most of the bloem test - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - to JOC (James O'Connor) for a couple of good tries in the first...

2010 Wallabies Video MASHUP - Suggestions please

Do you want high and low lights? The good - KB (Kurtley Beale)'s best try that never was v Wales the bad - 3 (or was it 4) scrum penalty tries the ugly - Salesi ma'afu given the seeming attitude of the young backs (KB (Kurtley Beale), JOC (James O'Connor), QC (Quade Cooper)) I'd suggest Butterfingers' "FIGJAM"

Just a thought about a player's national squad eligibility

What about KB (Kurtley Beale)? He's Aussier than most and still got into trouble. Or cam shep all those years ago smashing up cars at the casino?

Mongrel – what is it? who has it? is it warranted?

Dunning tried to show mongrel. I've never seen an Aussie in the modern game throw so many non consecutive punches. Pity no one could take the baby face seriously.

Shortlist announced for IRB Player of Year

Personal opinion (I know there are more knowledgeable rugby minds here who will no doubt shout me down) is he does cheat, but only slightly more than any other good back row. Annoyingly though, where other players would be binned for repeat offenses, Richie never is. Plus it pisses off the...

Shortlist announced for IRB Player of Year

Does anyone know if the ORB will release the votes? Not that I think it was rigged, but it would be interesting to see who came 2nd, 3rd etc, and by how much McCheater won

RWC playoff position do you rate Romania or Uruguay?

I have a canadian friend who bemoans the current state of their 15 man side. Losses earlier this year to Japan (and thumping ones, from memory) were a shock to most fans over there, and I agree with WMR above, they were coming along strongly a few years back and seem to have dropped off the pace...

    Giteau Spitting Dummy again???

Serious question (for once): was gits ever that good? Was it just larkham that made him look good? (apologies if you've discussed this before, I'm new here)

    Haha, touché

    James Slipper

I think that for the good of Australian rugby, slipper should be immediately transferred to the tahs, in order to form a long standing combination with robbo and TPN ;-)

    Scrum Talk

He had a pretty good year this year, and deans still picked ma'afu. It would take a serious bout of gastro to much of the forward pack to see the fuse in gold again. Phil Waugh too.

Player of the Year: 3-2-1 Wallabies v France, Paris

Oooh, can I play? 3-AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), broke their back early in the second with hard running to set up tries 2- slipper, played both sides well. No defensive fuckups (from memory) 1- bam bam, you can't underestimate how much he means to the team Encouragement award to genia for getting back upwards old form.

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

New game plan - JOC (James O'Connor)'s kicking is so bad, it forces us to run the ball. Barnes left in just to see the look on Gits' face

    De-runting the backline

the first time I saw Horne run out for the Tahs I thought "holy shit, this kid's going to get steamrolled" His first play was a dominant tackle on a much larger opposition. Size in itself wouldnt be what I picked a team by. Lets see Sunday morning how the small quick Australian foxes play...
