Wallabies v Pumas, GIO Stadium, Canberra, Sat 16th September

Its fantastic to finally get a win, but lets be honest. The Pumas are not the greatest finishing side in world rugby and they had us on the run for the first 50 minutes. It was a good performance but there were still some of the same issues. Handling was poor again and the breakdown work was...

I can't bang on about it anymore and I will not, but from what I have seen he offers a lot more, particularly against sides like the Boks. Rob Simmons has also had a shitty year but look at the game he rolled out yesterday.

He has shown as much or more than Hanigan. What he does do well is tackle and clean out. He may not run as well as we would like with the ball, but he does carry and more effectively than Hanigan. Why not put the time into him? He has a lot of good years ahead of him and is physically more ready...

I'm not suggesting McMahon missing out. I would put Timani at 8 to lock the scrum with McMahon moving to 6. Horses for courses maybe. We got away with a lack of muscle in the back row this week unlike against the Boks

Wallabies v Pumas, GIO Stadium, Canberra, Sat 16th September

Thats nuts. Foley was OK. Kepu and Hooper in the first and McMahon in the second were standouts. McMahon still struggled in the early exchanges in tight. Cant help thinking that Timani should be starting at 8 with McMahon on the flank. Dempsey or someone else on the bench. Hanigan had a...

He or Kepu. Genia was also good and Hooper outstanding as usual

I wish that Cheika had played Higgs and Timani together with Hooper in June. As someone wrote, he was trying to fit a square peg into a round hole with Higgers. Now he has gone back to playing two 7s with one big bloke. Hanigan is the big bloke....... Pretty easy to see the problem with this

Wallabies v Pumas, GIO Stadium, Canberra, Sat 16th September

I guess Simmons inclusion is a result of our implosion at set piece last week? Arnold off the bench would have been nice. His Bled 2 game may have been the best by a lock this RC. Good to see Uelese get another run to back up a solid debut. The back row continues to be a weak area and may cost...

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

The game was there for the taking but we let it slip in the last 25 minutes. We were not accurate at the breakdown, not protecting our pill or putting pressure on theirs. Our set piece was inaccurate as well. Reece Hodge was very good, infact all of the backs played well. We lost this one up...

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

No. The back row is way off and Cheikas plan for it is just not working. We need some bulk and aggression there. The Boks work at the breakdown was far superior to ours. Hanigan and Dempsey are not a part of the solution, not yet anyway.

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

Well, that does not bode well in this RC for us. We now need to beat the Pumas twice and knock off the Boks in SA and hope that the ABs can take care of SA at home and away. None of the above is anywhere near comfortably odds on to happen.

Overall I thought our backs were pretty good and kept us in the game. We gave it away up front in the set piece and at the breakdown.

Ili Tabua the Human Skewer. I remember him well.

I would still have him(Higs) at 6 with McMahon or Pocock at 8. Naisarani will be eligible soonish and will probably be groomed at 8 for 2019. Our lineout will be tested this week.

Backs will be unchanged except maybe Speights wing, but I suspect he has done enough to be retained at least until Naivalu is available. Please let DHP kick for touch from penalties/free kicks? Does Kerevi come onto the bench?

I guess we are going with the same back row? Good to see Latu included. Was that the last time we will see Moore in a squad? The fringe players have a chance to impress in the NRC.
