Maybe not, but he has been the most successful Super coach of late and I would guess that we will need one pretty soon. He and Fischer have had a good partnership.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

I think the back row and hooker were a big part of not containing the ABs attack. We did not have time to re-align and they were able to expose our many frailties easily. TPN made a big difference, as did Timani as both made a high percentage of dominant tackles and both carried the ball through...

Is Timani carrying a niggle? Why no TPN? Same back row that was destroyed in the first half last week and gave the ABs the ball on a platter to attack?

Wow. More baffling selections this week. Is Timani carrying a niggle? I would guess that a new coaching structure might be HC - Larkham Forwards - Fischer D - Ryan Attack - ? Maybe Ledesma stays on as set piece. He has done a very good job for the most part.

It also does the Wallabies no favors having to face the ABs twice first up every year. A run or two against Argentina and/or the Boks would certainly make it a little easier to bond as a group and embed any new systems/players. Another decision or deal made by the ARU with zero vision.

Of course it does not help that the ARU is a shambolic hot mess right now. They most likely do not have the spine to make the calls over Cheikas head that need to be made. I am not talking about his head being on the block necessarily, but more his bosses demanding that there be transparent...

    The Wallabies Thread

He has to be the major issue. He is selecting the squad, the 23 and the assistant coaches and none of them are able to get the job done at a reasonable level. He also no doubt at least has the final say in our attack and defense strategies. He is ultimately responsible and if nothing changes...

I would hope that TPN starts at 2, Timani starts at 8 and TK comes in for Kerevi. Our attack and go forward were also much better with these 3 on the field, not just the defense. I would also have a different lock on the bench to offer some physical impact. I actually reckon Simmons was OK...

Korczyk is at a similar stage to Hanigan. No point throwing him in there to "see how he goes".

He has been OK at scrum time. The cupboard is pretty bare at the moment. Slipper should be back at some point before next season. Who would you have on the bench?

How far off is Naivalu and is DHP good for the weekend? Why is Uelese in the squad if he is not ready to play? Mind you, I would not like to see him thrown in at the deep end a la Hanigan.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

He has not been publicly supporting his players of late firstly with their lack of fitness in June and now with their inability to commit to the defensive pattern on the weekend. I hope he has already laid down the law to Grey and given himself an uppercut. He too is responsible for a defensive...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

There probably is not a better candidate than Cheika readily on hand to take the job but if he continues stubbornly down the path of denial then he will be replaced in the not too distant future. There are coaches around the world who are well qualified and will take the Wallabies in a different...

A big mess. I have only seen it live but I thought that Simmons was OK when he came on besides one straight out spilled pill. Back row is very wrong. Has to be, or should be, Higs, Hooper, Timani with McMahon on the bench. But McMahon should not be there at all for the same reasons Fardy was...

Nah. Rona was one of the worst in defense. Not sure if he did not understand the system but he missed more than his fair share.

TK leads the team in defense and is always there in attack.. K. Hunt showed similar traits in June. For now TK should always be there.

Anyway, the whole thing is a nightmare on the back the ARU capitulation and our worst Super Rugby season ever. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.........

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

Kerevi was the worst defender on the pitch last night and had a hand in letting in 3 of the first 4 tries. Agree that the systems need to change and the defensive coach but what do you think the odds are of that happening any time soon?

Spastic is probably not a good term to use? Maybe he could be used against lesser opposition with a Meakes type character inside of him. But for now he should not be there. It's possible that "never again" is not justified but I cannot see it personally.
