Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2008

Saw him playing when he was 15 and thought he might be something. He was far and away the quickest kid on the rugby field and an ok size. Having watched him in Qld rep sides the last couple of years, he seemed to have come back to the pack regarding speed (on a footy field anyway) and hadn't...

You can have that miserable Canberra weather Lee, but look forward to the reports. Based on the NSW 16's two years back and the fact that Qldr's generally finish a year earlier, I would say that Qld will struggle for a 'three-peat'.

OZ trials are on in Canberra again beginning 8th July. Not much on offer locally in terms of International games. Couple of games by a touring Fiji side with the main game in Brisbane on Sep 13 as Bledisloe Cup curtain raiser. The rest of the season is a tour of Tonga and NZ.

Charalambous is a very good player who played OZ school a few years back. Considered by many to be ahead of Hansen before he suffered a bad leg injury two years ago. Has been great at club level and should be a good replacement for Hardman when the time comes, so Qld hooking stocks aren't too...

Mitchell looked a good player last year but I wouldn't place him in the Horne category just yet. Be interesting to see how he goes this year as one of the 'senior' rep players. LG - What of players like Karamanis from the 16's a couple of years back? NSW had a few good forwards from memory?

You missed Blair Connor in that list, and he has been the outstanding 13 in Brisbane Premier grade. Be interesting to see where he starts with the 20's and how he goes. Abram actually made a fair fist of 13 in the mud last week. Surprising toe, good backing up, and certainly not the typical...

    Queensland Reds 2009

Watched him playing league on TV a few weeks ago actually Lee. Very quick, but I'm not sure league allows him to showcase his talents fully. Would not be surprised at all to see him back with rugby. Like everyone, I hope we can retain Turinui and some of the older heads, but the other priority...

    NSW club rugby thread

I was scratching my head when reading about this bloke. In 2005 and/or 2006 there was a massive Fijian by the name of Nemani Nasiganiyavi who played wing for Nudgee College in Brisbane. Had plenty of wraps on him and was devastating but may not have finished school. Only reason I can think of...
