Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

I think the squad is set now. Only possibly change maybe 6. Or if Pocock is fit might need to find him a spot. (although personally still rather banks for the kicking and defence - but thats just me)

Actually I will challenge that analysis of KB (Kurtley Beale). Kicking choice really poor at times. First kick leading to the AB try. He has done this nearly every game at FB now. His running game absolutely superb - but that's where it stops for me. Throws the 50:50 ball too often. Although at the...

Arnold was a beast too. Hooper worked his heart out. White - Brillant Lilo - Solid : finally great to see an effective 10. Koro - played like a forward at times. Brilliant Hodge - surprised a lot of us JOC (James O'Connor) - very involved in the game AAA - Some big hits, caught two balls nearly off the...

His running game has certainly improved. Great all-round game.

Yep this p*ssed me off... Everything else he did was brilliant but I would not even consider him for MOTM for doing this.

I don't think Samu covers 6 then or 8 adequately, as he doesn't jump in the line-out. Doesn't have the bulk to play like a damaging 8. On your basis he should be considered as a 7 only also.

All true around the park...except we lose a solid line-out option.

Pocock covers all 3 spots too? Cheika has played him at 6 and 8 in the past. I'd rather Pocock then Samu, unlucky for Samu but that's the reality.

If your dropping Coleman, then you have to drop Dempsey on the same basis.

Didn't realise it was that many. I thought was more like 2 games.

Only a couple of games - which is why I don't get the hype.

I don't get the hype. He has barely played a couple of super xv games.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

This. We need to set-up accuracy and decision making around the ruck. BIG TIME.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Rodda hasn't set the world on fire, but has done enough to keep his spot. I wouldn't mind seeing what Coleman can do against the darkness - if he's back to his best he's the regular starter at RWC, if not, Rodda holds his spot. Worth a shot. Locking a 6 down a bit more tricky. Gotta work...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I think Samu is a 7. It would basically be the same as playing the 'pooper' style strategy to have Samu at 6/8 - which works for the Brumbies at super xv level but as we all know not so much at Test level. Samu to come off the bench if Pocock is not fit.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

They shouldn't fill in where they don't have too either. You still need balance. How many of our players hit rucks when they don't have too - i.e. Tupou's yellow card. This game highlighted how much easier it is to defend when your not committing to defensive rucks. The same can be said on...

    Gagr Wallaby 3-2-1s v Arg ( Brisbane)

    3. Genia 2. Naisarani 1. Tupou I think the front row are hard done by, I can see them missing points as they often get subbed early.

If only JOC (James O'Connor) had his 2011 form and pace.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

That's a good point. I guess the only option for balance (without Beale) would be Maddocks, Banks, Korio. But you'd take Beale over Maddocks any day. I'm just concerned with Banks on the wing, he's had no game-time there the last 2 years - I'm surprised he didn't start there this game instead...
