Wallabies v Samoa, Sat 7th September, 7.30pm, Bankwest (Parra) Stadium

He actually made a lot of his impact this game as first receiver though.... I do agree he's a better 12 but I don't think he will be awful again if he started at 10. I think he'll go better then Foley at least.

Normally I'm against the Pooper, but can see merit in this against Fiji, it would give Pocock more much needed game time too. Although Dempsey probably earned himself the starting spot and offers more balance in the backrow. Either way I'd be happy.

Wallabies v Samoa, Sat 7th September, 7.30pm, Bankwest (Parra) Stadium

I agree Dempsey did enough to surpass LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), and hopefully starts against Fiji. Disappointed in Bank's performance. Even as a vocal supporter of this, I'd say the selectors confirmed Beale is the right choice there. I'm still worried about our basic skills and decision making. Even from our...

So same as the RWC squad then ;)

I think many still see him as first choice over Beale and all his deficiencies. He must be tremendously bad on the wing.... but given he only played 15min there seems a bit bizarre they didn't at least give him more minutes to prove himself.

Can't be much worse then Hodge and DHP though. Which makes it even more frustrating. Do you really want to leave home the best FB we have because he's only the 7th best winger ahead of those who are only the 5th and 6th best winger. That's the way I'm looking at it. I can see Hodge ahead...

I must be the only Brumbies supporter who isn't upset about Samu not making it into the squad. I could see it happening a mile away. Hooper and Pocock if fit were also going to go and IMO with his skill-set and lack of height is rightly competing with both of them for a spot. McCaffrey had a...

I'm hoping to be the case, would love to see what he brings to the wing, which I'm sure is easily a lot more pace and line-breaking abilities then the rest.

As much as I love Lilo, that was a horrible game. And if it were Foley or Cooper everyone would be calling for am immediate dropping. I actually think that performance was worse then anything Cooper or Foley has done. What has really worried me about Lilo is his poor distribution game - so...

I don't think it's fair to compare SBW and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Both have very different styles of play and play in different positions. SBW at 12 uses his size and offloading ability, and ball in hand skills - he can lose some footwork and pace with age and still do this successfully. You probably don't need...

DHP over Banks a poor decision too on current form. Although if another specialist winger were chosen such as Rona or Speight I don't think there would be as much confusion.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I wonder how much more experimenting with the backline will happen? For example: Wings: Petaia, Koro FB: JOC (James O'Connor) I like that way better then Hodge, Beale, Koro. Although JOC (James O'Connor) at FB might be risky, not sure how much time he has spent there but he is generally a player who makes low errors and...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Yeh i hear everyone... AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) makes no sense. Banks really hard done by, you would think he could be considered a starter now over the inconsistent form of Beale, and his lack of ability under the high ball.

Damn McMahon or Fardy would be great about now. Or a fit and firing Dempsey (but he has bit to go to fully recover from injury and get back to form I think).

I think To'omua is seen as Flyhalf cover over Centre. If Petaia is coming then you could drop one of DHP, Banks, or Hodge.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Nah I think Petaia should start on the wing as he could easily start there over Hodge come RWC with a good display. JOC (James O'Connor) has been fine and Kuridrani whilst underwhelming is no liability (just needs more involvement).

I'd like Arnold to rest please. No point getting bashed by the big islanders before RWC. I don't think he needs more game time. Agree on everyone else.
