RWC 2019 Week 1 Other Games match thread

How's the Argie 15 trying to convince the ref it didn't go over too.

Coaches will be hoping noone was dumb enough to throw any punches after full time there

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

You know he calls the lineouts right? He was marked by the most competent Fiji jumper, so called everyone else all night

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

If I was every other coach in the comp I'd be sending my biggest ugliest defender at CLL every single play

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Hodges kicking for touch from penalties today was worth his spot alone. We got big problems at 10 don't we. And no solutions.

Might be the price we pay for some leadership out there

Lilo not taking kicks right in front?

Cometh the hour, cometh the ice man. Lineout falling apart now

That one was on Isi not rolling away wasn't it? If it wasn't it should have been Looking at the replay of the Fiji try, he did shoot up and stranded Lilo and Hodge a bit. Looks short of a gallop which isn't surprising I guess

Hodge cops a lot, but great kick to the corner and did the job to score the try. Lot of players with bigger reps need to pull their fingers out here

Hodge with another good tackle proving his worth in the last 5 mins at least. And Nick white keeps the pressure on with a horrible kick

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Nice white might want to start thinking about being vaguely competant

    Reds 2020

Gill and McMahon left before he signed the big contract (for big contracts of their own). McReight and Wright signed on after the big contract (potentially hoping to get some of those sweet millions at the next round of negotiation. Which potential international 7s have we lost as a result...

NRC Rnd 4: Brisbane City v NSW Country

Has he got himself a contract for next year somewhere?

    Reds 2020

Notwithstanding this has nothing to do with the Reds 2020, surely everyone on this thread knows that Izzy's previous contract included substantial payments from third parties, and that reported number includes the Japanese contract which he never took up or earnt.

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Fiji had two scrum feeds in the 2015 World Cup match in total. For this match at least, I don't think it will make much difference. Wales is a different story, and probably a different team

No, played a fair bit of 6 too, eg when Timu was at 8 v Ireland
