RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Was interesting to hear on Rugby ruckus podcast that Fiji don't have a player in their squad with any experience as captain for their club, or calls the lineout.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I think I'm right in saying that he has kicked 6 goals (total) in pro rugby in the last 5 years. Fair to say, it's not the kicking record of the guy you want to be hanging your wold cup hopes off

    Reds 2020

I don't really understand what the issue is. He signed a one year deal to play world cup, but hoping to generate a large long term deal, and was agnostic with whom that large contract was with. He then had a firm, but non-binding, LOI from Japan. If RA had come up with a better long term...

Without getting into the ethics of disclose etc, is a letter of intent binding? If Kerevi/Picone wanted to accept the Reds+RA offer that was made subsequent to the LOI, could they?

    Super Rugby 2020

It was 40 degrees in Sydney on Jan 31 this year. Newcastle was 35 degrees on 8 Feb. Going to be some tired players early in the season

Wallabies v Samoa, Sat 7th September, 7.30pm, Bankwest (Parra) Stadium

That's a little bit harsh. He was man of the match in his last home game for the Reds playing at 6 and beating the Brumbies

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Also for what it's worth, we've scored the same or more tries as the opposition in 14 out of 30 tests under Chieka edit, that we've lost! Ex NZ it's 13 out of 20

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

For what it's worth, NRL goal kickers average around 78% in 2018. Super rugby kick % was 77%. Conversion % was 74%, with Aussie teams at 73%. Penalty kicks were both up at 82%

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

We are going to lose a crucial World Cup game scoring 3 tries to 2 but missing kicks aren't we :(. All our options are pretty ordinary I said in the match thread that Foley was kicking himself out of any chance of starting at 10. Not sure who the commentator on Ten who kept going on about...

He didn't have a hell of a lot to do because we had so much possession while he was on, but made his tackles and linked Ok. Copped a few big hits and didn't get injured. Looks ready to go for the big time in a couple of weeks

    Reds 2020

Reading between the lines - it seems as though the ARU/QRU were never told what they had to offer to beat the Japanese club and they feel like they weren't given to opportunity to meet it even if they wanted to. The ARU have $20m in the bank. They'll be able to cover things at least in the...

Did the TV ref really just say the guy standing offside who blocked Dempsey getting to the tackle was fine because he "stood his ground?" He's offside FFS

Time to get Coleman off. Scrum has fallen apart on his side since he took that knock before half time
