Add in the hybrid lock/6 role. I would put LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) in that category, along with Holloway and Hanigan.

Wam - my hands down preference would be no experimentation and to stick and pick. I get the Skelton thing along with the necessary impacts it brings but I don't rotation would not have been my first consideration on a European tour. Certainly doing so has implications wrt work load. I'm happy...

I think I understand the idea behind the rotations. But this smacks of hubris. Hope I'm wrong. Got to recognise the new jerseys - congrats to Nawaqanitawase and Donaldson.

Haha! SMI - you may be confusing my avatar with The Nomad. Nomad has a Koala. It's cute. I, on the other hand, have a fully fledged feline-hybrid Drop Bear. About to rip the head off a Koala. Well it's a possum, but still. Pocock? Huge at the breakdown. (Admirable in parliament.) Hooper one of...

I think we can bank on the maul. Also that the scrum will be somewhere between competitive and dominant. Exactly how it goes depends on specific personnel availability. The line out performance is a recent (welcome) development and so far is based on specific personnel - Porecki throwing...

Strangely it is probably big time OK. Not an obvious choice but not a bad call at all.

The only reason you would not play Stewart against Italy is because there were better operators in front of him. It's got nothing to do with the guy's ability and how he would perform against Italy. Right now, that query as who is available that is better than him (allowing for injury and rest)...

In the personal opinion of many here Campbell had a better than "solid" game. Personal opinion to the contrary at least in part was without substantiation. Stats do not tell the whole story but no they are not "simply in the eye of the beholder". I wasn't intentionally misrepresenting Ikitau...

A bad miss to be sure. Noting he wasn't on his own - not an excuse but it shouldn't have gotten that far. In terms of Jock specifically among the backs needing to improve, let's look how they went: Stats from ESPN - TC turnovers conceded; T tackles, 'TM tackles missed Campbell:TC:0; T:6; MT:2...

ESPN stats have the WB line out as 8/11, two to Fainga'a makes bit hard for there to be two before he was on. Also if the number of lineouts is proportional to time on the field (53 mins in 82 ish for Porecki) that gives Fainga'a something like 2/4 and Porecki 6/7. The performance of the line...

Paisami has certainly played well for Aus and can be a fabulous player. Right now though? Ikitau surely well ahead.

A lot of discussion on individual errors as the key take away on this game. If we had some way peeked a point over France we'd all be talking differently. As a team a couple of things still frustrate:- x we still finish out each half (not just to the final whistle) no way switched on enough. x...

Before the entry of Fainga'a I thought our line out right up there with the French. Huge performance. Much like our starting scrum. Such a difference to be fronting up to a test where the set piece is up to the job. Our line out was never forced to shallow easier throws. Our mauls always set...

Jock was working from first receiver a fair bit. Hodge for his boot - not that that it panned out well.

I suspect Porecki had some responsibility with that one. Still we won 15/16 of our own line out. Sorry BR but I don't think the performance for thei last 20 mins shows Fainga'a as equitable to Porecki in the lineout. I think you may find the performance in the first half led to fewer contested...

Kind of fundamental for a hooker. Adding a little weight means exactly zak in the line out. We kick the ball more these days, the line out with a good throw is simply not optional.
