    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

He still got the attack moving forward for the first time in a few games. There were plenty of pass and catch errors on the night from players on both sides. I was a short distance from the ground and the conditions were both inconsistent and quite tough for attacking rugby.

Or it might be bollocks. The Australian and French rugby press both have a long 'n proud history of writing complete fiction about contracts and signings. Everyone gets furious for a few days, about the mendacity of the player in question, then it subsides, and we forget, then it happens...

As a recent Perthian, I have to say NIB is fantastic. Sitting in the big stand with the CBD behind is marvelous for rugby, and there's a real family atmosphere.

We'd do much better if it was played at NIB. Subiaco is a soulless, oval canyon. NIB really kicks off and you'd get a lot more rugby fans at it.

Skelton made his first poor appearance. I wouldn't be judging his capabilities based on running on under the circumstances of being minced as a team across the park.

Braveheart, I think we may have already reached the point in Australian rugby where there's no longer such a thing as lining up at 10 and 12: the positions are fluidly interchangable, depending on circumstances. That's certainly the case at the Tahs.

You can't believe a word Hansen says. He's a troll.

Super Rugby Round Three: Rebels v Cheetahs, Friday 28 Feb, AAMI Park

The good news for the Wallabies is Higginbum. Quite an outing for the first game of the season.
