That great scrum work all undone on a simple error

Agree SF. Very calm player. Looks really fit out there today, like he's shed a few pounds.

If I was the halfback and saw my 10 running cross field I'd be kicking the ball more often than not as well. I don't mind his chip and chase effort though, the Boks rushed him and he tried something going forward. Didn't pull it off but made the tackle to stop any counter. But other than that...

Nah it's bad. When OZ had XV on, the Boks were making metres at will. Tomane still can't defend, has had problems all year coming in off his wing when he didn't need to. Too many OZ forwards caught ball watching in that first 20 minutes.

Not sure what Flip was thinking there?

The YC was as poor as Bismarck's first against the All Blacks. This game really is ugly to watch. Extremely stop start. Quade Cooper looks extremely tentative with ball in hand.

    John Hipwell - RIP

When I think of Hipwell and the others bolded, I can't help but think of the great combinations that OZ had at 9/10 - GG and Bernie, NFJ and Noddy, and Hipwell and McLean. Whilst Catchpole was probably the better player, all the stories I've heard about Hipwell endear him because he was like a...

    James O'Connor misses flight

I agree QH, it is a sad story. One could only hope that such a move by the ARU and the coaching staff will be a wake up call for the young man and part of the process to change and restitution. Good luck to him.

    James O'Connor misses flight

Not sure if I agree with you Charger regarding Sharpe. His form was questionable in 2009 and people were calling for him to be dropped and that new blood had to be established. In 2010 he was kept in the side as I recall Horwill get injured and they needed experience, this despite him not having...

All Blacks v Springboks - Eden Park, Sept 14th 2013

biltong, I've watched Zane Kirchner since he first starting playing for Griquas whist still a teenager. He was always very quick had good ball skills of an inside back but had a wirey frame which made him a somewhat defensive liability. When he finally got his chance with the Bulls in Super...

Are all players dropped after perceived poor performances? It seems pretty rare these days at test level given the rise of the word "rotation"

    Flashback to 96 .

The soft hands on that first Reds try by both backs and forwards was excellent. Flat attacking lines seem to be the norm these because of the emphasis on getting over (or at the very least near) the gain line. It has both its positives and negaitives.

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

Haha Channel 10 clock still had 10 seconds left when the siren went off. Tough game to watch. Folau far more involved despite the conditions. White's passing particularly in the 1st half I thought was pretty sharp. Fardy and Douglas had better games. Argies looked a bit at sea in...

White's inexperience showing there. Should of stabbed a grubber kick off the scrum.

Great to see him closing out the game in a tight contest too.

All Blacks v Springboks - Eden Park, Sept 14th 2013

You need to put the lemon juice down. You pose as some grandiose poster that waxes lyrical paragraph after paragraph attempting to address the 'finer points of the game', but continually regurgitate the same old tired material until it gets to the nub of your posts - your really just here to...
