Api Naikatini. Nah it's just finals time and players always do stuff to try and stand out knowing the nation (and Int'l audience) are watching

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

That description made me laugh TIP :) By the way, you don't want the NZ commentary, they aren't much better. I watched it with Burke and Bray with Dowd and the Evil Wizard providing expert comments from the sidelines. Wasn't too bad I thought.

He'll go places this young fulla will.... :) The combinations and trust within a group is the critical factor and it's what's been lacking in OZ rugby for some time in my view. This has been due to a number of reasons, two of the main ones have been injuries and selections. Yes there are...

Time to revamp cards to Yellow, Orange, Red ?

What was the severity of the incident? I haven't seen it It's a pretty big 'negative' to miss a red card offence if one is waranted. A red card is the most serious sanction a ref can give and the gravity of the offence must be very severe, so if there was something on that scale and no red...

Springboks v All Blacks, Johannesburg, Oct 5th 2013

In future watch the test with the sound down or go to a pub/club where it's too noisy to hear the comms. I watched it live with the sound down and it was still an enthralling test match with fever pitch excitement. Last night I watched that YouTube upload with the comms and I must say the rugby...

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

Slightly OT: one of the best loose forwards to play for the ABs was Waka Nathan aka the Black Panther. Nathan was a Maori AB also and renowned for his fearless play at the breakdown but also his ball skills. His nickname came up earlier this year on discussion boards asking the very question...

    Brumbies 2014

Or play in the ITM cup in the offseason for a bit of a salary top up. They want to "stay" in OZ but know they're not going to make the Wallabies or get the top end super contracts.

Mowen Considering Move To France Over Pay Dispute

Exactly, first move to apply the pressure is to get the media talking and have readers thinking it's a 'broader' issue - that builds public sympathy. And it's not bad timing for Mowen given he has been a mainstay in the Wallabies this year, fill in captain etc, so I say well done to him and his...

And no regular 'killing a 2 man overlap out wide' was a positive also :)

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

Don't disagree Dam0 and it's been a problem for a while for OZ tight 5 play. They don't "hunt" together in 2s or 3s sniffing out opportunities to drive in at the breakdown and consistently take advantage of their attacking opposites not committing numbers or being short out wide. Two things...

Your 1st 5 should be cleaning out on short ball plays. Watch Carter he does it quite a bit each game particularly when Nonu takes the ball into contact.

How soft was that defence? Shocking to let in a try like that.

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

Too lateral. Like the idea attacking from deep like that, but need to be more direct and not cut out the wingers space

    Get Alexander off now.

Genia going forwards and Folau getting more involved has others lifting their game. Positive sign there.
